I post my opinion about booster shots and why I think they are not needed or even can be contra productive from a MOA perspective.
The booster vaccines are still based on the original Wuhan S protein.

I am relying on my post #3051 "So far it seems to be like this"
The AB levels have waned, memory cells are in 'ready state'.

When the booster arrives one is starting to make after a few hours after the 3rd shot again the original S-protein.
The memory cells are waking up within 1-3 days. They proliferate BUT at affinity maturation they do NOT learn something new, BECAUSE they get again presented the SAME antigen.

AB levels are ramping up. They cannot considered to be new (compare my post). They perfectly fit to original Wuhan but not to the variants!!!

Your body state will be exactly the state you had after full vaccination. Nothing more nothing less.
When delta arrives for instance, the ramped up AB levels you have got again do not match 100% to the variants. Since all the vaccines have lost effectiveness at infection you so to say have restored a diminished effectiveness.

    Second effect:
You have now full level of ABs which perfectly fit to Wuhan. When delta arrives you have already lots of active b and t cells (against Wuhan type) floating around and the immune system is exhausted / suppressed to make new ones which would have undergone an affinity maturation to delta.

Affinity maturation works best (and nature is clever) when the immune system is in memory state 'waiting' for the pathogen that probably has mutated a bit.

If already woken up with the very same original Wuhan S protein it 'thinks' the pathogen has not mutated. Once there is full level of ABs one first has to wait until the original ABs get declined, affinity maturation to the new variant starts and 'new' ABs can be released...

There is a plateau of AB level which cannot be exceeded.
Once 'occupied' with Wuhan-AB's the new ones have to wait so to say.

So Yen, since it is said that the established vaccines give a certain range of protection regarding the variants, in this regard would then a booster shot not have a level of efficacy regarding these variants? So I'm not asking how negligible, I'm asking to what extent the booster shots may bolster the established efficacy in relation to the variants.

Swedish immunologist Ann-Kathrin Engvald, whose text was translated by mathematician Eugene Peskin, points out the falsity of the arguments for the propaganda of the ongoing vaccination campaign.
"The solidarity argument in this case is wrong," she writes. - Getting over Covid-19 is a demonstration of greater solidarity with the rest of humanity than vaccination. Anyone who knows immunology understands this and understands how we defend ourselves against viral infections when antibodies play a subordinate role as a cleaning patrol, while T cells destroy all viral factories in the form of infected cells, which is the main problem of viral infection.
Those who vaccinate against these types of rapidly spreading viruses do so mostly for selfish reasons, that is, for short-term protection that might prolong life or prevent infection-now, at best, in the spring or fall until new mutants of the virus begin to dominate the population. This is what natural immunity provides protection against, but not the vaccine, which targets only the most variable part of the virus, meaning it gives much narrower immunity.
If you know anything about creating vaccines, you know, and that vaccines are very different, and depending on which virus you have to deal with, different conditions arise. This time the problem cannot be solved by isolation or vaccination, because the virus is already spreading all over the world and thousands of mutations have already been identified. Most people will encounter a variant of the virus sooner or later, unless they are vaccinated with various Covid-19 vaccines every year for the rest of their lives. The mass vaccination strategy in this case means that we, as a population, will be more susceptible to this type of virus in the future.
Fortunately, collective immunity is already widespread in Sweden (thanks Tegnell and co.), so vaccination will have very little negative impact."
She didn't seem to understand. That it's about solidarity with the pharmaceutical companies that people all over the world owe their wallets to.

‘Long Covid has taken my whole life from me'

Trainee anaesthetist Linn has been off sick for nearly a year with long Covid.

She says the condition has taken her whole life from her.

Linn has decided to join more than 500 people taking part in a study in Oxford, looking at how the body’s organs have been affected among people with long Covid.

Watch BBC Panorama – Long Covid: Will I Ever Get Better? at 19:35 BST on Monday 12 July on BBC One, or catch up on BBC iPlayer.

Pfizer there is documentation that approximately 200,000 people died within a week or less of receiving one of the vaccinations."

:party_time: @gorski might as well party! The experts have spoken, we got euthanized. I'll go buy my coffin and lay in it now!

@Yen I agree about the booster shots, I think I posted a video a while back with a Dr pretty much saying the same thing.

Long COVID: Patients fight to be believed
"Millions of COVID patients still experience debilitating symptoms months after their infection. Many of them have to fight the additional battle of convincing their doctors or loved ones to take them seriously.

About 15% of COVID patients still have several symptoms after 12 weeks, according to a study conducted by researchers at Imperial College London in the UK. Women and older patients are more likely to be affected, but men and children also experience it.

Scientists are still researching possible causes, which makes the condition more difficult to diagnose and treat. For many long-haulers, a trip to the doctor’s office becomes a battle to be believed."

I can't find this one in English: @Yen?

    https://www.dw.com/sr/nevakcinisani...ntclyPZN1kFZrubXZiT1QqL13lkUOooumkKJ9t1Ns5Us0
