Ah I see! LOL BTW: mRNA-1273 is expected to reach Phase III on July: https://investors.modernatx.com/new...-late-stage-development-its-vaccine-mrna-1273 mRNA vaccines do only contain the genetic blueprint (in that case for the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2), the body then produces the surface protein of the virus itself (by using this blueprint) and the immune system can recognize it and fight against it. This immune answer then causes immunity against the real virus. This tech is modern tech and on its way there are a few more barriers to take...exciting. Classical tech is to administer 'parts' obtained from the cultivated virus. Cultivation and isolation would take much more time.
2020.6.15 dozens of newly infected were diagnosed during the last two days in Beijing, after about 50 days of peace. Almost all of them have visited a food and veg whole-sale market, the largest one in this city, supplying 80% of vegetable consumption in Beijing. I guess there may be some 200 infected in total in the following week. It won't be a break out. The market and its neibourhood are already sealed and all the staff have been tested for cov19. Hope everything is ok but it seems the virus will accompany us for a really long period, and we may get use to these inconvenience.
Big pharma will push any/every drug sometimes even when they are fully aware of the negative consequences associated with it. Everyone else (the agencies that regulate them, the physicians and so on) look the other way so they can continue to inflict the damage.
every body was so bored staying home that when they said they were moving to stage ? they started going out doing s**t they couldn't for a while getting hair cuts, nails done, eating in a restaurant they thru caution to the wind, not wearing a face mask a simple but effective deterrent in controlling the virus spread, ive seen people in the store picking up vegetable's bare handed looking them over and putting them back down and picking up another bare handed, in the meat section people touching packages moving them around for another ! if the virus lives x numbers of hours on different surfaces stores cant possibly decontaminate the different package's . but they do disinfect the grocery carts, another thing there doing more testing now , is that the reason more people have the virus ? before less people were tested there was less virus did we ever have a good count, do we have a reasonable count now ? I heard a woman in the store yelling at another person about distancing when she was deciding about which can of beans to get the other woman said it doesn't take 5 minutes to make up your mind and there are other people in line waiting for you to move LOL , lucky I only go out once a week and have a garden to work in !
The Transformation of Societies on the Occasion of Covid-19 Heralds the Militarisation of Europe https://www.voltairenet.org/article209867.html
#591; very interesting. but nutty as the proverbial fruitcake. it is quite interesting how an obvious case like mr thierry meyssan manages to earn a living, instead of getting locked up. the militarisation of europe my foot!
So just because you don't agree with the militarization part the rest is wrong. Are you in favor of lock up or what.
After reading this turns out I'm a f gullible moron for believing quite the opposite https://medicalfuturist.com/debunking-covid-19-theories/ Yeah right Wow just wow:.
no, mr.x. but but my health is such, that if i catch this damn virus i am as good as dead. so when i see someone using cartload of fallacies and demagogy and conspiracy theories, to end this lockup, i will cheerfully lock him up. yes, indeed. i plead selfdefence.
Given how bad this has become globally, yet half the world is easing up and putting the virus under control, I wonder what a post-pandemic world would be like. I'm aware there'd be a "greener" recovery but I'm more concerned of how society would function. Also, here in the UK, the vaccine being manufactured by the joint effort of Oxford University and AstraZeneca has reached to Phase III as well. So there is some light at the end of the tunnel. And speaking of vaccine, I strongly believe that Brazil really needs it. I mean, look what's happened there recently
Post-pandemic is not on the cards, as the virus is back - everywhere, including the countries which had the best possible response to the pandemic, like South Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, Slovenia etc. In Slovenia - the first country to proclaim the "victory" - they recently had to close a school in Maribor and the rest logically followed... Even China had to deal with it on a grander scale, yet again - in Beijing... As for militarisation: look at Croatia's push-back of migrants... Look at Italy's military camp for migrants... And so on and on...
Only that New Zealand saw a slight resurgence because of flaws with its quarantine, and it's been such a worry that it's military were involved. As of this writing, there are 10 cases brought back in but even so, the country itself is not in any major risk.
You are missing the point: it will be, if it doesn't act decisively and strategically, not just tactically!!!
Well it did great from the beginning even to the point of stopping community transmission completely, so what could go wrong now? I can see it coming for England though, when it came to easing restrictions too quickly and now almost everything else for next week. At least up north it's done more cautiously.
________________________ PS: sowieso was die Leute schreiben! Big Uncle Sam und Rothschild werden im Oktober erneut eine Pandemie auslösen und alles, wie Esel, wird Masken tragen und Impfungen durchführen! (persönlich meine Meinung) nichts für ungut
The mentioned Oxford vaccine is ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 (AZD1222). It is based on a different approach (vectorvirus vaccine) It'll reach (together with mRNA-1273) Phase III on July...(ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 Phase III approved in Brazil). Both are the front of the vaccine dev pipeline..all others are behind. (The mRNA candidate of CureVac CVnCoV is most advanced, though. It's already active at 2 x 2 microgram range. The one from Moderna one needs 100 microgram!) This means its at least 25 times more effective (= production is more efficient!)
what kind of vaccine are they trying to create ? is it a preventive for life ? or are they trying for something like a flu shot you need every year because it mutates so much ? the word cure keeps popping up in the news when it is being disgusted about and im not sure what their talking about .
@zen45 Consider it as cat and mouse game. COVID-19 is something you won't have in your house. You (the ones that can) now try to determine unique attributes that can identify COVID-19 as such. Better said how can we mimic a COVID-19 attack without COVID-19 in order to create a valid BIO defense. There are different approaches to achieve that. Once they match countermeasures can be applied (yes the body can). The virus itself now applies 'countermeasures'. Its goal is to find a new host by fitting to the new 'situation'. It's is doing by change (mutations)... Can it be fast enough? Or are 'we' faster and get it to extinction? Goal of course is to find a 'life time' anti-measure. Can we? We try...and it looks good so far...and yes it seems it will be affordable for even poor countries IF the politics do the right thing and mature scientists have to say something. It really looks promising....everybody acts in concert and that is nice. It is good that there are DIFFERENT approaches. It maximizes the chance to get a life time vaccine or one that can be changed very fast and being as long lasting as possible. (until extinction of the virus / complete immunity). First I translate.... "A country comparing study of the University of East Angliga resulted that a mandatory mask-wearing is of no use, it even can raise the risk of getting infected." My answer: Yes there is no scientific evidence that a mandatory mask wearing lowers the spreading of COVID-19 The reason for it is that a scientific evidence is a high claim, it could not stand so far. BUT it does lower the aerosol particles at certain situations and it CAN prevent a certain infection COMPARED to a situation where no mask is used at all. You should not be a victim of polarizing reports! Nothing is black or white! Get the best out of it for you personally! Don't be victim of those which want to manipulate you! Apply what you personally think it is right. It is your freedom and yes you still have it! And do your own thing being respectful to those who are doing their thing! The govt is in trial mode. Protecting their values at first place. A scared child would do the same. Not to speak of dominating authorities and power hungry institutions... I try to be as objective as I can and this thread is an informative thread and I do anything (contrary to other sites) that this remains a pure informative one coming from my heart and what I personally know and find reasonable. I am adding my opinion which I have in real life as well. No fake. I always be here for discussion either way, taking my opportunity being admin of this forum. (and scientist, lol)
