    Virus-tagged files

    @Howardz

    It's a bit of a nuisance isn't it: your AV app tags your file without giving you an option to not tag it in the first place or untag after the fact. I have recently enjoyed this issue with Symantec (coincidently installed when I updated my BIOS - in my haste I missed the option to NOT install additional apps). Even though I uninstalled the app and cleaned out the reg of any reference thereto, there are a couple of files I access that are still preceded by a popup alert (that points to a non-existent directory) that, at least, gives me the option of continuing. I have yet to determine why this exists and how to eliminate it. :mad:

    I suppose in the end we ought to be pleased that AV apps are doing their job, albeit it with a bit of a periodic hassle. :rolleyes:
