MSMG I tried creating unattend.xml file.I first created for win 8.1 Core image. Now I wanted to ask u that how to add win 8.1 Pro image to this file and setting components for win 8.1 Pro also?My doubt is that should I delete ei.cfg if I want to use this file? And how to attach this to my created image (AIO)? Have I made any mistake means I wanted to ask that should this unattend.xml file be created first and then superaio file code should be applied or superaio file code to be applied first and then unattend.xml to be created for each image? I am confused about how to merge all the unattend.xml files of all images in a single unattend.xml file and applying it to my aio image?

I haven't tried multiple images with in a autounattend.xml, I do use separate files for any installations in which I do insert the cdkey.

If you use the autounattend.xml file the setup will skip reading ei.cfg and so it's not issue.

You can create autounattend.xml anytime and place it in the root of the dvd/iso/usb.

If you want to use autounattend.xml file then just place it in the root of the dvd/iso/usb.

Even you can just place the autounattend.xml file in the usb drive and use the dvd to install, the setup will look for all drives and then select the autounattend.xml file from usb drive.

There are also other methods like :

    - Copying the autounattend.xml in the root of boot.wim image.

    - Applying/integrating autounattend.xml to install.wim

Will tryout with multiple images/autounattend.xml file and tell you know. right now am kind busy.

The main issues people are facing is the setup should

    - List all the indexes for selecting the edition

    - Not ask for any cdkey

    - Work with oem/retail/volume edition

    - Keep files/setting & Upgrade should work

product.ini store the default installations keys, but if you want to place your product key you can use PID.txt file but I don't know whether It will support multiple keys.

there is no such usb folder what I meant was if you had a dvd with windows 7.x/8.x os and you want to use autounattend.xml file then you can simple copy the autounattend.xml file to root of any usb drive and insert it to the system and switch on the pc and boot from the dvd and install the os.

Usually a autounattend.xml file and EI.cfg file is used to automate the setup process and also skip the image selection or cdkey process.

So try the setup without he EI.cfg and also autounattend.xml file or PID.txt

in your ei.cfg see whether this line is there

    [EditionID]
    ProfessionalWMC

    [EditionID]
    ProfessioanlWMC

if its there the make it just like

    [EditionID]

and see whether you have placed any windows 8.0 keys or wmc keys in autounattend.xml/pid.txt

No I haven't used autounattend.xml/pid.txt.Also after [EditionID] I haven't written any edition name such as pro wmc.I am not able to find the reason why the menu not appearing and setup directly going to error msg "Setup failed to validate ur product key".

I tried step by step all the steps but no success. Each time
1)Get Important Updates -a)Yes I want to install 2) No thanks (neither of the option works here)
    2)Checking your PC
    3) Windows is preparing
4)Setup has failed to validate ur product key.
    Something has went wrong
I think I am following all the steps but starting of setup is doubtful.

Thank you Mister X for providing me with the CODE mods in a previous post on this thread to create a Windows 8.1-x64 only AIO...
That worked perfectly... Now I would like to create a COMBO Windows 7-x64 & Windows 8.1-x64 AIO?
I do not want to included the x-86 versions or Enterprise etc editions...

If this is possible, would some knowledgable user e.g. MSMG please provide the CODE mods and procedure changes needed, or point me to a thread, post or links to do so?

I got the same issue.. It will only show an error if you run Setup.exe..
But if you run the Setup.exe inside "sources", it will work..
It will show you the menu..
Then I made a bootable ISO out of it and test it on VirtualBox, it ran fine, it showed the menu..
I don't know what's causing the problem..

I made a Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 combo using this tool: softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-7-Toolkit-Download-181550.html

    Yes, exactly..
If there's an ei.cfg, "Setup has failed to validate your product key" would occur..
If there's none, it will ask for a key..
But if you run Setup.exe inside "sources" as i mentioned, it will work..

I'm not expert with UEFI and BIOS, so I can't differentiate it with you.. o_O

having ei.cfg in the sources have never given error for me so far. Microsoft really messed up with the windows 8.x setup process, need to make a workaround for this AIO problem.
