Ok, I think I'm going to try buying a backup 4Mbit BIOS from eBay and ask that it be flashed with my hacked Tyan Tiger K8W S2875 BIOS. - Replace Silicon Image 3114 ROM with Promise PDC20378 ROM - Replace Intel PXE ROM's with Broadcom PXE ROM's My only issue is that the original Arima HDAMB 2.03 BIOS has two Broadcom PXE ROM's. One is a 6.x.x series which seems to correspond to the 5788 line of adapters and the other is the 7.x.x (which is the one that loads now for the 5705 built-in LOM adapter). Questions: 1. Any danger if I just delete the two Intel PXE ROM's and only add back the one Broadcom PXE ROM that I need (using MMTool)? 2. If I am successful in booting the Arima HDAMB board with the hacked Tyan Tiger K8W BIOS, anyone know if I could do future BIOS flashes using the Tyan AFUDOS flash tool? Basically will my Arima HDAMB motherboard now *look* like a Tyan K8W to the BIOS flash util?
Remember that you can hot flash any rom with flashrom, which is a linux flasher. It can work with a bootable usb of FreeDos.
