All - Sorry the 1D3B keygen has not been released. See if you can flash an old BIOS (released prior to 2012).

@RicardoHofman - What's the password scheme (characters after your service tag on the lock screen).

I am a complete N00b - can anyone please help? (Dell e6400 Latitude admin lock-out)

my system has a Windows issue and I need to run Recovery - and it's prompting me for the Admin password, aaarrggghhh; I think I forgot it and want to strangle myself...

(so I can't even access my notebook to try any data rescue before I nuke the hard drive)

    the serial number is GS4QGH1-1F5A

DELL want $59 for a master password unlock because my warranty ran out last year and I didn't renew it for this old unit, although I still have the System password that's no good in this instance.

can anyone please help? I'm as poor as a church mouse

    thank you!

ntfs.com active@ boot disk can reset windows passwords easy.
u can also use it to backup your files to another disk.

the ending 1F5A says its newer password hash so the generator wont work for bios pwd.
try using bios recovery to older bios and see if that ending changes.

LatinMcG - a big thank you for this information!

    To be more specific:

    * my drive is showing some sort of corrupted file problem, but I'd like to attempt a recovery if it's at all possible through Windows Recovery, which is where it prompts me for an Administrator password that I don't have and Dell want to sell me.

    * I am very inexperienced with this sort of stuff. Are you suggesting I flash my BIOS to an earlier version & see if my serial number changes? (I've flashed my BIOS before)

    * I'm running Windows XP Pro (with my apologies)

    Thank you very much again

update: thanks to your advice L-McG, I've gotten through the password block and now my problem is the hard drive...

(it goes very slowly and takes forever to perform CHKDSK /F, and then when Win XP attempts to repair itself gets stuck at 37 or 36 minutes to go when it gets to installing the files)

I'm moving over to the non-BIOS section to see if there's any other advice I can get on what might be done with this, if indeed my drive is possible to rescue.

    with many thanks again!

Would there be a chance you could help me with a BIOS password on a Latitude E6510 as well? The BIOS version is A01 and the Service Tag is HL75M1.
