wow. i did it at last!!!!!!! thats flawless. thanks guys for helping me out.... everyone wants to upgrade their slic to 2.1 please follow the above steps except:two other files... the link above will point to a gz file thats not compatible. get the gz for m1530 from the other forum (search) and dell m1530bios.exe file ( if you want to be on a safe side just like i did, download it from dell support center) i tried to upload but i dint allow me as the allowed attachment size is ridiculously small
I have looked all over the place!! arghhh. where can i get the modde file for M1530?? I can see the M1330 one but this isn't compatible for my laptop. I have searched but the search engine on this site isn't that good and I get loads of unrelated results. please help
Is there a Slic 2.1 Bios availalble for the A09 version, as for some stupid reason loads of people cannot charge their M1530 once they upgrade to the A12 bios and I'm one of those people, well annoying as my laptop is out warranty a long time ago.

Your download link works and I got it to work on my M1530 running Windows 7 64bit without any problem so far.. However its only day one... I'll post again if I run into any problems..... It was a downgrade from A12 bios to A09, but who cares I got SLIC 2.1 and my Dell Windows 7 64 bit.
Please repost? I seem to have lost my original modded bios(?) not sure how that happens, but suddenly Dell OEM Windows 7 install disc didn't auto activate anymore, and I looked at my BIOS through RW-Everything, and it appears to be 2.0 SLIC! very strange indeed, since I haven't flashed my bios since I put in the modded BIOS.
