    Just a question from a "newbie" .
Have dell 390 with Vista buisness which auto activates when using the "reinstallation dvd".
Is it possible to use the Dell W7 Professional Reinstallation dvd and autoactivate
    on this machine.
OR does it need a Modded Bios - Bios now is dell ver 2.6.0 19[/5/2008.

    Any info much appreciated.

    Cheers

SLIC toolkit reports SLIC 2.1, but that "No OEM certificate found"? Is there an issue with the BIOS mod or do I need to import some sort of XRM-MS file? Thanks.

You need to load the matching Dell certificate.

Example using the Dell certificate from the SLIC BIN collection.
    slmgr -ilc DELL-DELL-2.0.XRM-MS

Wait for the confirmation dialog to appear, and then load your product key.
    slmgr -ipk <Windows 7 Product Key>

    Hi

    I tried your modded BIOS above ( sendspace.com/file/ue5m37 )
The BIOS updated successfully (well it said it did) , however SLIC_ToolKit_V3.2.EXE still reports "Dump Error! SLIC table not found!"
I did a "reload to facory defaults" in the BIOS but still no SLIC table.
I think maybe your modded BIOS assumed it already had SLIC 2.0 but mine doesnt have a SLIC table...

I am using the latest DELL BIOS --> f tp://ftp. us. dell. com/bios/WS390-020600.EXE
    I have done a RW-Everything report with this DELL BIOS --> sendspace.com/file/cygy43
    (NOTE spaces in URLs)

I hope maybe you could add the SLIC 2.1 table to this :)

    Thanks

    Steve
