    i think there is no 1 Best data recovery at all (talking about common software), but you have to value every case

    many times TestDisk saved my life, recovering the original filesystem so I got back every file before the partition deletion; undeleting accidental deleted files;
    and TestDisk do this all for free

    in other cases I used Active File Recovery (not free) but it one of the most working software for recovering files
