@Tiger-1: Nor do I. I'd recommend against any real-time antivirus if you're using a DAW. (Cubase, Frutty Loops, etc.) If you do a lot of surfing, then it's a good idea.
Just a little reminder... There is NO WAY for us to know what is going on, unlike it is done as stupidly/obviously as MS did it with the telemetry issues with Win7 and Win10. Whatever any government, or the producer of any intrusive software site says, there is never any sense in believing it. Simply stick to: I cannot and I do not know ! You do not want to trust Kaspersky because it is russian? Then don't.
@ThomasMann: I agree. Unless you're an integral part of it, and on a very high level, all you know is the "party line" so to speak.
Source code does not prove anything, unwanted code can come with every update and be deleted when doing the job that is given to it.
And you really think that with the talent even just on this forum Kaspersky could pull off the nefarious kind of stunt you are implying? Really?
