The .exe we find in the installation directory after installing Edge Canary, would not contain the files for the update To see if it will work a redirect (in the registry) or something else
I would just like to know if it is possible to update by installing Edge with this .exe (as requested above) and if so, how
It's an .exe and I install Edge with this file without problem Except that it is not not include the update function
You are the one who didn't understand my request, maybe I can't express myself with my bad English More simply, is it normal that MS offers this Edge installer which does not include the update function ?
@tistou77 mini_installer (the full offline exe) do not include MicrosoftEdgeUpdate which is responsible for updates and you cannot install it alone afterwards, because it does not register the previously installed mini_installer you will have to use OfflineManifest.gup to install/register both correctly, which is not easy to accomplish TL;DR either use the online installer, or the offline mini_installer (download each new version each time) @kaljukass it would be helpful not to reply to everyone in this thread, at least not with negative replies most of the time
Hi guys. I have strange problem. Edge Canary build 458 was installed at two different machine. One of them option change to custom image background is visible but on second PC not. Please look attached screenshots. Where does this difference come from?
Do those CAB Policies work on portable version of Edgium? Also, how does one mask/hide desktop resolution with Edgium? For example, Tor shows 1000x1000 if you browse in window mode, but Edgium always shows the resolution selected for desktop, regardless of whether you use fullscreen or window mode. Also, does anyone know whether Edgium supports Netflix HD/Ultra HD?
