@crashnburn You have posted the same question on 3 threads, please don't do that and delete other questions in other threads. I'm answering it here. As I've mentioned previously, 2019 C2R setup won't block the installation if 2016 C2R is installed. But it's pointless to do that since you won't get 2 types of office apps, 2019 office will simply replace the 2016 files since both share the same directory (you can't change the directory). What's there to not understand exactly? The question in red color is unclear to me, please elaborate more specifically on which exact process you don't understand.
Started in original thread I created & linked to install & compare side by side 2010, 2013 then 2016 and 2019 (while keeping Outlook 2010) - All on Win 8.1. Hence you see the linkage & complexity. Also issue is conflict/ contradiction between what abbodi said (quoted & linked above) about 16 & 19 C2R side by side - while you're saying it wont exist i.e. will overwrite or only one will remain. So between you & abbodi if this can be clarified/ cleared it'd be great. @Windows_Addict @abbodi1406 (Check the bottom of this post also) Moving to the next item - I read it, but the question is "what steps does this entail" and on which Tool? Yaoctri or ORT? Yaoctri vs Office R Tool or pre install licenses via some KMS tool before doing Office C2R and choosing O 2019 or O 2016 from Yaoctri or ORTool menus in correct steps So, to execute the above 2 steps which tools and menu options will I need to use? ORT tool & Menu choice Steps undertaken: - I have a "Office Folder" of Current Monthly downloaded via ORT. - Via ORT when I chose 2016 Pro Plus it installed - After that via ORT when I chose 2019 of same it said cant do & needs Windows 10 Yaoctri tool & Menu choice Steps undertaken: - I was able to point YAOCTRI to "Office Folder" instead of downloading again via YAOCTRU - Via Yaoctri when I chose 2019 it did not say I need Windows 10 - It went upto a certain point & errored out (not sure if due to existing 2016 C2R or Win 7/8 issue Lets say now I do a cleanup of these installed C2Rs from above: And NOW to fulfill your Steps 1 & 2 (from above quote_ ** Question is which Tool(s) should I use? Which Menu options? What order? ** Which Menu Choice do I choose in the end to Install: 2016 or 2019 AND Which tool & Menu choices for the 2019 licenses PS: Also noticed this OfficeToolsPlus mentioned on your profile. Also quoting this from ORT PDF: I just noticed the above bolded. I think I've tried to install 32 bit office on 64 bit Windows - But ORT Steps for 2016 C2R done above seems to have worked while it failed for 2019 C2R via both ORT and YAOCTRI. Interesting. Any thoughts? Maybe abbodi was right and I'd get both 2016 and 19 if not for this? @abbodi1406
@crashnburn I did some more tests on this and found the results as expected. On x64 bit system, Installed office 2016 (default x64) from an old C2R iso. Apps have "2016" (e.g. Excel 2016) name in the start menu. As I already tested, If I install the 2019 office (default x64) on it, it will replace it. So I installed x86 office 2019, and it also replaced the previous 2016 installations. So I think we can conclude that the 2019 office installation will replace the previous 2016/2019/O365 C2R apps (if those apps already exist), or at least we can learn that it's a troublesome idea to try to co-exist them together. --------------- The quoted text about the workaround to get office 2019 updates, is taken from YAOCTRI. Mount the Office ISO file, Use YAOCTRI (YAOCTRI_Configurator.cmd) and install your desired product, and it will make sure by default that you get updates. You don't need to do anything manually to get updates. AFAIK, OfficeRTool doesn't include this workaround. ---------------- May I ask why are you trying to install office 2016-2019 side by side and unnecessary complicate the things even after it's mentioned several times that it's not recommended to install C2R office on an already installed C2R office? What's the point?
I used YAOCTRI as reommended by @Windows_Addict bro, used volume option image to install so that there will be no need again to convert it from retail to volume I used .img file from the op of this thread, successfully installed and activated it
Hello, May I know who are done deploying MS Office 2019 (ProPlus2019Volume) with added Proofing Tools? I created the XML from SCCM ODT directly to avoid issues on XML but after I install the added languages of proofing tool, it creates entries individually to Program Features compared to Office 2016 it creates only one entry. Also, do you know how to remove the MS Office 2019 and proofing tools using XML? Thanks!
Thank you, one of my friends noticed it has no entries on Proofing Tool after installing it on his personal Office 365. I dont know whats reason behind it. I find it messy if it will appear all the languages on Program Features.
Is the last build ISO/IMG that the topic "Additional Office 2019 product download links --> https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1464024" in first post? Has the new version ISO/IMG released?
Links in first post point to latest ISO/IMG-release download of Office from Monthly (Retail/RTM) distribution channel. Microsoft is a little lazy publishing/updating new ISOs/IMGs. Available Image-files are NOT the newest. You always have to use internal Office Update after installing them to get the very latest/newest release. Better use one of the tools from page1. They will download newest release files.
I tried to install Office 2019 unattended (32-bit version) (with configuration.xml file and official ISO) and it constantly installs all components or it ends with error: Couldn't stream Office. I cannot find solutions to solve this problem. Tested in VM on Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB (64-bit).
Is it possible to fully disable Office Click To Run service? Disabling in services.msc results in MS Office not working at all.
just wanted to ask you from where have you installed office 2019 and how to get the iso form the official site and activate it while installed
