My question still remains:

Is there a Tool that added THIS (i.e. changing the Office Update channel) feature?

I’m running Windows 10 (legit) and Office 2016 (Microsoft® Outlook® 2016 MSO (16.0.14026.20202) 64-bit) activating every 180 days using KMSAuto Net.exe. I’ve updated regularly with no issues until recently. Now I’m getting the Genuine Office nag screen.

Deactivating the privacy options worked OK until yesterday. All the other solutions (OGA etc.) and reg hacks don’t apply. I just don’t have those files.

Easiest solution is to wait for a new cure for the nag screen. But I’m wondering if I should look at 2019 and ether do a side by side or maybe even a fresh install of everything since I do not use many of the programs on the PC.

Any advice appreciated. I’ve been out of the loop for a while.

Did you install the vl version, or the (converted to vl) retail version of office 2016?

I do not have these registry entries -

reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration /v UpdateUrl /f
reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration /v UpdateToVersion /f
reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Updates /v UpdateToVersion /f
reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\OfficeUpdate\ /f

I presume 16.0 is for Office 2019 but that entry didn't appear in 15.0

Any thoughts on a reliable perpetual install of 2019 on a fresh install system ?

 

It doesn't help, there is only pastebin link to 2020 version (updated 2020-10-21 version 2008 Build 13127.20616)

I would like to retrieve source to install offline lastest release if possible.
