Hi Friends: I have some questions for you... 1. Is Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2019 16.0.10325.20118 + Visio Pro + Project Pro (x64 x86) English Retail a RTM version? 2. Do we have to wait for Microsoft to release the official version of Office 2019? Thanks TecMan
Is it expectable to get a distribution installable on Windows 8.1 (either official or community customized), which installs Office to custom folder and only selected components? I dislike the 1click setups.
im not 100% sure but i think microsoft as long said there will not more updates .msu or full isos like he did with other office 2010-2013 or 2016 ...so i expect will be the same as doing with windows 10 builds mean possible the called "rtm" will stick only in the channels .. they use the same as windows 10 3 channels 1) slow ring 2) fast ring 3)RTM / Retails ... im little confusing ..they call it rtm is cauze the channel but im curious too if microsoft will keep RTM cauze i tested 4 times and there is alot proof included the rtm / retail channel. now waiting microsoft saying official version of office 2019 he normally will point it eventually i think...
@TecMan 1. No non-preview builds starts 16.0.10705.x range, still not available for Monthly Channel there are no RTM build anymore, C2R technology is constantly updating 2. There will be no much difference by the way, Office 2019 is just a fork of Office 365 which already have all features @IIITA C2R technology doesn't have separate updates, each new version contain all fixes (security and non-security) so you will have to update to new version anyway @Anakunda No, C2R install location still cannot be changed, neither customizing components for each product
Hi abbodi1406: Thank you for your replies to my questions...but I have one more question for you... I have Office, Visio and Project 2016 installed in my PC...Do you recommend me to install Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2019 16.0.10325.20118 + Visio Pro + Project Pro in my PC with a Windows 10 fresh installation or to wait the office 2019 release in October 2018? Thanks in advanced, TecMan
Thank you for above. I am not sure but you mean I mus run OfficeRTool version (2018/August/26) by ratzlefatz every month to find new Office 2019 version and if its new I must uninstall the old and reinstall that new version everytime to make my Office up to date ? What a labour this Monthly Channel release !! Unable to get incremental security update or other updates for Office 2019 Monthly release on and after the first installation, not like Office 2016 RTM?
Thats not nice. Can I at least expect this will be once possible...also can I expect Office 2019 could allow install on Windows 8.1 ?
No, App-V technology (the core of C2R) doesn't seem to evolve much no, all Office 2019 SKUs are restricted to Windows 10, officially but there is a long manual workaround using OfficeClickToRun.exe better use OfficeRTool: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-14#post-1125229
