As fair as I can understand, that looks more as a lack of testing and knowledge of the matter, being DBvblink an European company w/o an US technical office, rather than a DRM issue itself. Given the way it works the protected contents are still managed by WMC not by DVBlink itself. Anyway if an USB cable card tuner exist the sharing problem could be (partly) solved trough an usb redirector SW. Something I tested here in Europe. It works, but given DVBlink is more flexible and less bandwithd consuming, i use the latter.
Thanks all for being busy to get WMC working with Windows 10. But is there a risk that Microsoft can stop your beautiful work with a update of the operating system?
I find that kind of doubtful as Microsoft didn't care enough to port it to Windows 10 why should they care if minority of users self-ported it? But I guess you never know with the way Microsoft has been acting lately. Also awesome Job guys getting WMC to even launch I can't wait to see it hopefully fully functional here in the near future.
Now, I need to try to get this running on my Windows 10 install, this way, as a heavy Media Center user, past MVP and cablecard owner, I can help as we move forward with this. So I can test and confirm that features are working as they should. Anyone want to go down the shorthand version on how to get this working so I am not trying to assemble piece by piece ? I should have some time this week to install it...
To the persons trying to successfully port WMC, good luck! I can't wait for it to work. I've got an Anysee with acamd and I can't get acamd stable in DVBViewer and DVBLink. When it works, I can get some artifacts in my recordings, which do not happen on my dual boot with Windows 8 with WMC.
Build 10036 is the last version which supplies translations for WMC. Do these mui's work on 10135? Would copying these from a 10036 build suffice?
Can anyone provide the necessary files and compiling/installation instructions? I don't care about the TV part only Pictures & Videos, Music and Movies... Are those fully working?
Progress, I love it....Now you can start the services ? If you can get the services started, you can add a TV tuner, and then possibly get TV working. The services also handle scheduling the shows (some combo between the task manager). That could be the piece to get TV working... Man, I need to spend sometime on here to try to get this working myself to see if I can help. This is cool...
