Hello, anybody has the SEP 14.3.10178.8000 (14.3 RU8 MP3) untouched? Would really need it, the previously posted version is somehow messing things up. Thank you in advance.
It seems this is the closest available here : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...ndpoint-protection.51100/page-83#post-1820366 Thanks.
Yeah thanks but that link is no longer working. Besides its the RU8 and I am looking for RU8 MP3. Would be great if I could still find it.
Hello again: I have now SEPM 14.4 installed and are running into problems. Whenever I export / create an Client with all the Firewall settings I want... even the setting UNmanaged client, the Firewall settings are always Greyed Out ! I can only check either enabled or disabled, but no setting can be changed. What do I wrong or is this at it is? Which would be weird I think. I see in the Firewall settings/policies inside SEPM that there is a VPN setting but it is no in the client anymore! And since the client settings of firewall are locked, I cannot open them in the client after I installed it. So there is the problem in the first. I hope somebody knows more of this and can help. Thank you in advance!
Is SEPM installed on a server or a client os? Because it would be of interest to know server edition as well.
Manager (Management Console) > Windows Server 2012 Windows Server 2016 Windows Server 2019 Windows Server 2022 Windows Server 2025 Agent > Windows (8.1+) Macintosh (10.14+) Linux (RHEL 8+/Ubuntu LTS 16+)
Windows 10 !!! Attached the pic from the greyed out CLIENT then. NO locks had been applied as suggested earlier. Client is exported as UNmanaged also. (managed did not make a difference in greyed out problem!)
sajjo: I see that it's Locked Out. Duh. Do you know why and will you share that special detail? And to your question 'why should 'we' care! You can or not, up to you. No need for crap statements. If you want to help if you even can, then do it or just don't. @casio4ever As I stated: happens to both, Unmanaged and Managed clients. The locks are Open. Nothing I changed in the settings to lock the client out. So any help will be appreciated. Thanks
According to CoPilot: Option A — Remove old management policies Use the CleanWipe tool from Symantec to fully remove SEP, then reinstall using: A fresh unmanaged client installer A package exported with Client UI Control = Client Control Option B — Replace Sylink.xml If the client is stuck in “managed mode,” replacing Sylink.xml with an unmanaged version can unlock it. Option C — Disable Tamper Protection If you still have the password: Open SEP Go to Change Settings → Client Management Disable Tamper Protection Settings should unlock Option D — Reinstall SEP A clean reinstall using an unmanaged installer is often the fastest fix.
