[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 (1709 RS3) "Fall Creators Update" Final 16299.15 , 16299.64 & 16299.125 (PC)

using the link from the above post , i have downloaded WUMTWrapperScript from geeks site , I uninstalled the D*S tool that i was using before , also removed all the HOSTS file entries that this tool put in to disable windows updates and then ran WUMTWrapperScript . It searched for window updates successfully without any error
but didnt find any updates as i am on windows redstone 4 rtm ( latest i guess ).
my question is am i good now ? i closed the WUMTWrapperScript will windows update also stop as soon as i close this script GUI ?

btw after closing tool i checked via services.msc it says windows update service is disbaled ! is it fine ?

i need to know one thing , i have controlled updates using WUMTWrapperScript , that @s1ave77 suggested in above post..
but what about windows 10 telemetry ? how do I stop it , do i need to have a separate tool/script for it ?
kindly suggest any good tool or script for stopping the telemetry and it should not interfere with WUMTWrapperScript.

(in rs3) there is a dedicated section for privacy in settings.and it is very good.
i did a test in which i blocked the updates and defender and set everything to minimal in privacy, and monitored the data usage with netlimiter.
i did simple browsing and nothing else. and in two days there was only around 3 MB of usage other than chrome.
the point is, for normal users telemetry is not a problem (why is it for you?), and if Microsoft want something, they will get it anyway, and 3rd party tool cant help you. but enterprise edition have a toggle in gpedit in which you can opt out all the telemetry.

I don't get new picture in Windows Spotlight in RS3 RTM, only in Insider Preview RS4. Is it normal ?

 

Preview RS4 17133.1 is available on the UUP Dump which is expected to be the final release of the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update.

 

well build 17133.1 is very close to RTM . you may install it , it is stable and no time bomb or watermark.

 

From what I understand the only changes to it will be through Windows Update.
