guys it's safe to install the one in the first page "FULL CONSUMER ESD Files". I want to upgrade to the latest version 'cause I changed my mobo and CPU (AMD Threadripper) and want to know if that is the final release. Don't want to be a beta tester I just want to install the latest update 'cause I don't want to wait for Oct 17th and want a full clean reformat. Hope someone answers thank you
Please stop asking the obvious, yes the Full Consumer_ret ESD's are official MSFT, downloaded from MSFT servers, being serviced now with KB4043961 CU.
Thank you, I just want to make sure. Glad you answer. Been a long time since I logged in here since 1st release of Windows 10. Thank you again
Yes I got it 17017.1000 It downloaded then a message shows...."An update is being prepared for your device, but it's not quite ready yet. We'll keep trying or you can try again now" Keeps giving me this message....
Just opt into insider program let PC restart. Your see update then, restart again after its installed. You can then opt back out of insider program and restart 1 more time. Easy way to upgrade for anyone unsure.
I did not get that update just 17017.1000, but I did try to update with that cab file and did not work.
