Man, that russian site is getting hammered. Download is going very slow, died on me twice so far, trying for the third time now. Perseverance.
Folks, I got a question. Since the .30 build was released as "final": What should I use as a baseline image for offline servicing - .30 or .1? Talking about taking that "baseline" image, integrating a language pack and then just updating it with the usual ssu/cu/su and stuff. If the answer is .1, how exactly should I get it? My goal is to get the .1 or .30(whichever is your answer) consumer/business iso's with the 11/10 indexes inside respectively.
18362.1 for the base image and the only way to get it is via UUP dump. You can actually get 15 editions (indeces) too!
No, UUP dump can compile a 15 in 1 ISO file for you, then you can simply copy the install.wim from the finished ISO and service 'til your hearts content. Also, you can create the ISO with any supported language so no need for you to integrate a language pack. Seriously, just check it out, do some experimenting. Check out the various options. In particular the create virtual editions option. Frankly, I myself no longer even bother with servicing my own ISO's. I simply use UUP dump to make an up to date ISO file every time a new CU comes out. The scripts it serves you can do everything you are wanting to do. It's as easy as breathing.
