Guys, I am confused - I just installed 1903 a few days ago. How do I update to the latest version of Win 10 (I have Education version)? Is there a "Media Creation Tool" for the 1909 or whatever version is the latest? I just want the latest version - either the tool or the ISO so that I can download and install it. Please help.
Because revision 418 is like 1909 RTM 418 < is like GA November 12 (or sooner): 1903 > upgrade to RTM 1909 (418, iso, esd, uup) + update GA (418 <) 1903 = KB4517245 (1909Enablement) + only update GA (418 <)
Krakatoa I think you miss typed the 1 for the 4 ? Because revision 418 is like 1909 RTM 448 < is like GA November 12 (or sooner): 1903 > upgrade to RTM 1909 (418, iso, esd, uup) + update GA (448 <) 1903 = KB4517245 (1909Enablement) + only update GA (448 <)
Hello, im' on 418, how to upgrade to 448 ? I downloaded 448 by UUP dump but the media installation doesn't want to keep my data, settiings ans software
Mount or unpack 448 .ISO within C: Drive & click on setup.exe File to do Update. Or if you have the Cab Files, Install SSU 1st then CU

This group policy takes care of many ads, as mentioned, I don't see any other ads after applying it, hence no need to apply any other tweak. IMHO it's better to tweak things in a minimal way, based on the windows settings and Microsoft documents, to avoid any unforeseen issues.
Is there a particular reason why these .exe smartversions became a thing, other than spoon-feeding morons? I don't like them one bit - due to the sensitive nature these end up shared on shady sites more often than not and that opens a vector for 3rd party attack. I have seen many PCs pwned via hijacked murphy update packs in the windows 8 days. And even for morons, I think is much more productive to teach them safer practices such as using the original, cross-platform, digitally signed smartversion executables coupled with a script for example. Else what happens, is that you have to now keep track of hashes for the sfv's as well, right?
