I didn't receive the former Windows update. The latter was downloaded and installed immediately after I set up Windows 10 Insider Preview build 10074.
After enabled blur effect via regedit it didn't show the blur effect instead it changed to full opacity which I liked it very much, but after maximizing the start menu into full screen after that it changed to blur effect, so does anyone know how to revert it back to that setting ?
Hmm, so I noticed I was able to disable UAC, do that one command for wiping out Modern UI apps, removed Search/Indexing, and the start menu worked fine (after reboot). Sweet As a sort of random question; has anyone tried Crypt of the NecroDancer? I only tried it briefly on a half-setup install on 10074, and it crashed on startup.
What sorts of "AMD problems"? If you have a laptop, then that is understandable, I suppose, as laptop drivers are most often custom drivers and have to be supplied by your laptop OEM, generally (if your laptop is not supported by AMD's generic "Mobility" driver), and laptop OEMs are pretty lax in driver support over and above what ships with the laptop you bought--which is another black mark against laptops in general, imo. But I have a desktop w/ an HD 7850 installed, and I'm on my second set of WDDM 2.0, DX12 drivers in Win10 (well, dxdiag id's them as such, anyway--there really isn't any software we can use to actually test the new DX12 features.) Everything works well, including the control center. These are not yet available on AMD's site, but only through Win10 Update so far. Usually I do not like the WU hardware drivers, but I noticed that these were WDDM 2.0 so I use them (whereas the latest 8.1 Catalysts are WDDM 1.3 drivers.) Edit: Well, I have to eat my words... I booted up 10061 again and lo and behold, my ccc won't come up, either Now that you mentioned it, I remember having this same problem a couple of builds back but I could always fix it by simply rebooting explorer.exe with a log-out/in. Not this time, though... Hey, while I think about it, do we have a fast torrent .iso release for 10074 anywhere? The Microsoft site is barely giving me 400k/sec and it will take two hours to get the thing...Just wondering--Thanks!
Anyone else noticed or having problems when when you minimize a program it is not always appearing in the icon tray but still running? Maybe I am missing something.
Still getting crashes on my Toshiba Laptop when logging in. How can I disable the stupid lock screen? My Laptop isn't a tablet, and it creates another unnecessary step to just get into the desktop. I hate how at Build they were spending time talking about notifications appear on the lock screen. Who gives a f**k? Going to try reinstalling and see what happens, but the crashes appeared after an automatic update. Then with the second install attempt of Windows 10 it started crashing right away. Looks like the Synaptic touchpad driver issue again.
Open elevated command prompt and enter control userpasswords 2, uncheck require password and enter your password twice where it asks, reboot and generally that will work but sometimes it doesn't.
Lol, that's why YOU have to remove it. It is a forum bug one can avoid when putting it between code tags Code: C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets
