Edge Chromium Online install requires the OS to be updated with latest CU. Try the Edge Chromium for Business .msi file.
the new edge installs and works just fine, even on the very first 2015 LTSB release. the OS itself just needs to be uptodate. EDIT: and yes, always use the offline/business MSI installer on older OS'. -andy-
I think you have to use one of the versions 79 for the msi installer to install on old Windows or server. From there the Edge auto-update would bring the version up to date.
Recently I have installed W10 LTSC 2019 version (17763.316). After new installation KB4601345 was the only update in list. During online update after 74% it stucks for hours. I have tried offline update, but failed. Any idea?
Hi Memnon try sfc/scanow with command prompt@administrator, after restart machine and try update Windows again
I have tried. Finally, I've found Kaspersky was the Culprit. After disabling and killing KIS, windows updated smoothly. Thanks for your advice.
^ for me any A/V sucks I haven't used it for many years ... I use other tools that are more effective and that any user can also have regardless of the operating system
Yes, they release new one every 3 years so not a problem but who known tomorrow they can tell us they are further reducing the life cycle. It's the direction in which the things are going that I I dislike not this particular decision.
