No probelms with LTSC and running silky smooth. Very much doubt I'll be going back to LTSB anytime soon.
Nothing exciting I am afraid. The only changes to the OS were a) added store b) added game bar from store and c) fixed file association issue. This was a clean install. Installed manuf. drivers (i.e Nvidia, AMD chipset etc) then Office 19, all of Adobe cloud, AutoCAD, 3DSMAX and ton of apps/utils. Then Steam, Origin, Uplay and ton of games. No problems with anything at all.
Hi I tried to run the Optimize Offline Scripts - LTSC 2019 RS5 and LTSB 2016 RS1 on LTSB 2016, but without success.... I prepared the Optimize-Offline-3114-LTS.ps1 ( could something go wrong with copy/paste ?), put all into C:\ , run and got this: At C:\Optimize-Offline-3114-LTS.ps1:71 char:1 + [CmdletBinding()] + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Unexpected attribute 'CmdletBinding'. At C:\Optimize-Offline-3114-LTS.ps1:72 char:1 + Param + ~~~~~ Unexpected token 'Param' in expression or statement. At C:\Optimize-Offline-3114-LTS.ps1:85 char:19 + [int]$Index = 1, + ~ The assignment expression is not valid. At C:\Optimize-Offline-3114-LTS.ps1:94 char:26 + [string]$MetroApps = 'Select', + ~~~~~~~~ The assignment expression is not valid. Thanks in advance
While waiting for updated iso's, does anyone know if v2019 is capable of doing an upgrade on a multiboot system with Grub? v2016 couldn't, it kept failing without showing the reason and restoring the previous version. Took 3 failed upgrade attempts before I figured that one out...
Hello @GodHand I used the latest version (3.1.1.9) of your Optimize Offline script with en-US LTSC 2019. It runs fine, but at one error is found in the log: Code: The element C:\Optimize-Offline-master\OptimizeOfflineTemp_1153636226\MountOffline_1282564682\Windows\WinSxS\Backup\amd64_microsoft-windows-p..ne-client-overrides_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.17763.1_none_2336ab167a9608bf_power.energyestimationengine.standbyactivation.ppkg_21aafe77 was not found. This error didn't happen with 3.1.1.7. Can you probably fix this?
I'm maker of these lite LTSB editions and I guarantee there's no any viruses or anything else integrated into. I posted all my custom iso's at TPB only which unfortunately is down now. Be careful if you download from another site! PS: latest release is v5 (Win10.x64.lite.v5-IK), btw.
Oh, hi Ivan, yeah i saw its you , did not know you are here TPB ? thepiratebay ? (well i got it from there ) ! BTW nice build !
I have a few questions. I'd like to try ltsc on my gaming rig which currently has windows 10 pro activated by a retail key. Can I reuse that key if I decide to go back to windows 10 pro? Should I use a local account instead of my linked ms account? Thanks.
This might be a stupid question, but will LTSC 2019 (or whatever the latest Windows 10 Pro for that matter) throw up any issues installing on the new 9900K CPU? It'd be a gigantic pain the ass if I've upgraded my PC to change out the motherboard with CPU/Ram and the CPU Cooler and go to install and get a fail error. I've got a few USB sticks so I'm planning on setting up on LTSC 2019 (I've gone through with NTLite and done a bit of tweaking), but with a backup regulation Windows 10 install if required. Thanks.
