At this point, forget downloading Windows 10 component files from UUPDUMP.ML and running a script to assemble those components into a 19042.662 ISO. Besides, tomorrow is Patch Tuesday and 19042.662 will probably not be the latest version as of tomorrow. You have a couple of options. For now, you seem to want an ISO. So just download the Techbench ISO and add Enterprise as a virtual edition. Refer to the following post: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...20h1-2-vb_release.80763/page-285#post-1633936

What? Another EP? Why that's delusional, preposterous!!! https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...20h1-2-vb_release.80763/page-286#post-1633992 So should the EP be installed before or after the 685 LCU?
Integration order: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-hotfix-repository.57050/page-567#post-1634715 New EP to probably just install a more current edge for people who now upgrade. and why cluttering this thread with ... videos?
My point exactly! Why clutter it up with HUGE unneeded videos! A one minute video shouldn't bake your noodle too much.
Hi, I previously posted how i manage to get 662 update on 19042 that had update 661 by restore my system to a image that was 19042.630 Then updating to 662 with no problems But how does a user get by this because the update that took the system up to 661 seems it can not be un-install this as happen to my neighbour & his system will now not do update via windows update & shows Error (0x800f081f) My neighbour does not have a backup image Hope this can be resolve without a clean install Thanks hopefully then he can update to latest 685
Run this in an elevated cmd: Code: sfc /scannow Filter out the results by running this in an elevated cmd: Code: findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" Or: Create a 19042.685 ISO and run an inplace / repair upgrade.
Agreed. Of course! I've long-been pointing out the possibility of another EP (a 3rd EP), only to be addressed as if I am crazy, which I am not and never was. I saw this coming a LONG time ago. So perhaps the real question is how was it possible for me to know this? The answer to that question is something that might bake someone's noodle, as illustrated by the short 1 minute video that was posted. So I'm not going to answer that question directly. So you can watch the video and get some entertainment value from it, in an otherwise overly-technical and boring thread.
The release of different EPs is just to deliver an uptodate Edge at the point of upgrading (or for creating uptodate ISOs), when already on 20H2 there will be no new EP needed nor offered on WU. The EP part most likely is not even changed. ps, again, from the one who had the feeling that the 20H2 EP would not even be in the 20H2 releases, after the first ISO already was released, not much can be taken seriously, can it?
EPs are similar to injecting a product key and then reactivating to get another edition of Windows. They are like cheat codes in a video game. They are like finding an Easter Egg...for those who believe in the Easter Bunny. They are like renaming a shortcut to get God Mode. I apologize to have to tell you this, but there is no Santa Clause. EPs are unnecessary. The defense rests...
Thanks Enthousiast ran sfc /scannow it found errors but was unable to repair Try your other cmd & re-booted then tried windows update still now joy so will now Create a 19042.685 ISO and run an inplace / repair upgrade. to resolve this
That's just your opinion - and I could be blunter.. There's no 20H2 without the EP, just like there was no 19H2 without the EP. Ergo, the EP is 20H2! Are you gonna say that Editions are also unnecessary? Editions also share the same core system files.. but there's a world of difference between Home, Pro, Education and Enterprise. Policy is all, to paraphrase Uhtred of Bebbanburg
It's not the 11th century, it's the 21st century. It's not about policy, it's about marketing. How about I sell you a car that has an eight cylinder engine. But only the first four cylinders are working. You come back to the dealership and say your car seems pretty gutless. I tell you that if you want more power, I can sell you a different car key to activate another two cylinders. So I sell you a different car key and now you have six cylinders working. You come back and want more power. So I sell you another car key so that all eight cylinders are firing. But the car's engine had eight cylinders the whole time! That's marketing, not policy.
661 corrupt net framework 3.5, even if you uninstall and reinstall net 3.5 the system is still corrupt, to fix the problem i had to do windows in place upgrade keeping documents and apps, but after a couple of days i uninstall "CleanMyPc" app and i lost boot, i have uninstall this app many times before never lost boot, best to do a clean install if you did upgrade to 661
