Playing it safe is for squares

Na, I agree that you probably shouldn't go installing this tech preview to "important" machines (machines needed for work, data servers, etc). Not without some kind of backup plan anyway should things go wrong.

The most important thing my desktop does is just keep about 400GB of backup data, with about 100MB of that being irreplaceable (I should go back that stuff up to the cloud at some point). I'm not really too scared of the idea of installing this tech preview to it natively though. Ran leaks and preview releases of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 natively without any concern either. I like testing things, and what better way is there to test out an operating system than by running it on your main machine(s)? :p

I have never visited such site before. Well, we all have one thing or the other disliked about people based on different views, understanding and ideas. Don't you think I have some point in my argument regarding some people were likely aware of the name prior to the press event?

Yes. That refers to the x86 architecture of the cpu. Both 32 and 64 bit versions can be installed.

agree with with you to the point when the mess occurs and then I can see a lot of winers asking for help. My advise was just to keep the mess as small as possible :D

Do you mean Terry Myerson was not aware of the name as well? Well, I tend to differ in my view regarding that. I think some people were aware of the name and were told not to divulge it until the press event.

Don't you think I have some point in my argument regarding some people were likely aware of the name prior to the press event?

I think we may get the download later in the day or tomorrow beyond what is written on the Microsoft page. I am going to wait for atleast two days before downloading the Windows 10 Technical Preview.

Aside from the part where you might need an MS account to DL it, feedback most likely. Being as it is for Enterprise, MS couldn't force an MS account for use and expect to be taken serious lol

Nah, if you've got a friend who could give you some builds to have fun, the first and most important condition is that you must install on a machine with no web connection. :p
