Is a Microsoft account required to install the Preview? Can this be installed offline? I don't have an account and I'd rather not create one.

as it's a "Microsoft program" you'll, for sure, need a Microsoft account... you just log-in and tan gives you the links and key, for installing.. this program is meant to be for developers and people that wants to feedback the future Windows 10.. and for that, they need your account..
