License switching can be done by the Settings > activation > change product key but it's mainly done by using the cmd,
i am running win 10 pro on i5 6600, is it a good idea to run window 11 iot ent ltsc? as tpm 2.0 is not required in this built , or my system will get slow after some time ? should i stick to 10 pro only ? pls guide
Yes, as a virtual Edition (see post above). However, NOT any the LTSC variants, those are unavailable.
i performed all the steps right, like i visited uup dump website selected 24h2 version win 11 , then language English, only tick on win 11 pro and then tick on download and add additional edition , then tick on include updates , tick on integrate net framework 3.5, in add extra edition i selected window iot ent edition , script runs fine after success of this , i made bootabe pendrive via rufus and installed it , and guess what the os which installed is win 11 pro ? how , i ticked on win 11 iot ent on uupdump site , why win 11 pro installed instead of win iot ent ?
just ticked as seen in in my post pics above and you will get all sku incl. iot enterprise downloaded.this way dont give you LTSC IoT ENTERPRISE. only IoT Enterprise and all other sku included. If you want LTSC IoT Enterprise just follow Fowlers link to the English version.,
Maybe your BIOS has a license for Windows 10 or 11 Pro embedded? Then, Windows will usually not allow to select and install whatever Edition matches your license. You can still switch to IoT Enterprise by entering its product key. However, this is all not LTSC.
I just installed LTSC WIn11, it work great and it use less RAM than normal Windows 11. The greatest part is not having to uninstall a bunch of craps every times I do a clean install. Now, my only problem is with Edge. I did the EU hacks to allow uninstallation. The app appear as removable in the Installed apps list. When I click on uninstall, it warns me and ask to confirm but, when I confirm nothing happen. It's as if I clicked on a dummy button. It looks like Microsoft always finds new ways to bother us....
Because windows 11 24h2 use motherboards bios key At uup dump choose to remove pro sku and in install screen choose legacy setup And add ei.cfg with IOTENPRISE value and pid.txt with iot But iot useless ( similar to enterprise sku ) Better use enterprise iso or education You can switch from pro to enterprise with massgrave script choose extra section
All win 10 use the MSDM key. ei.cfg is ignored by 24H2 modern setup, pid.txt only should work. Or fix the ISO with the new option from the Boot and upgrade fix [ A ] and ei.cfg will no longer be ignored and all available skus can be selected again. Use the option to You left Pro on the ISO when you didn't set the convertconfig.ini to delete the source on which the virtual edition is based / made from, pro in this scenario.
Hi I'm desperately trying to install the Xbox Game Bar/Gaming Overlay on Windows 11 LTSC 2024 (non IoT) version via PowerShell. I get his error each time: Code: Windows cannot install package Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay_7.224.10282.o_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe because this package depends on a framework that could not be found. Provide the framework "Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00" It says I need 14.0.33519.0 minimum. Before this it complained about Microsoft.UI.Xaml.2.7.x64.appx not being installed which I then installed successfully, I also installed Microsoft.UI.Xaml.2.8.x64.appx just in case. Then I installed Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller_8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle, Microsoft.VCLibs.x64.14.00.Desktop.appx, Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00.UWPDesktop.x64.appx successfully. I also tried to install this package but it says a newer version is already installed, Microsoft.VCLibs.x64.14.00.appx I'm stumbled and don't know what exact package I need to install the damn thing. I know that people have successfully installed this as I have searched the forum, but no real solution on exactly how and what is needed. Please feel free to move this if it's in the wrong section. Thanks in advance!
I managed to install an older version, 7.124.5142.0 from May 20th and altough it shows up in the Start menu, it seems to do nothing and pressing the Win logo key + G does nothing. The only positive is that the ms-gamingoverlay nag screen have went away but I can't change any settings at all.
It's an option you can select or not, it can be used with any other option, the A stands for adding 22621 Autorun.dll to boot.wim to have the legacy setup with ei.cfg support.
