Not been a huge fan of 10 it always seemd weird and glichi unfinished, will jump straight to 11 ltsc when the stable release will arrive.

Also any specific change list between enterprise ltsc and iot variants ? What removed what's added ?

    ... google search too complicated

iot ltsc = same as ltsc only price and channel change

ltsc = for enterprise and oem manufacturer ( and 5 years update )

iot ltsc = sold by oem manufacturer ( and 10 years of update )

    -+++----+++------++++

Iot enterprise vs iot enterprise ltsc ?

iot enterprise = enterprise ( with oem only license )

iot enterprise LTSC = Ltsc + 10 years update + oem only sold

So if u don't care about the license its obviously better to use iot version for long stable use.

Btw yeah i agree about the statement about the google :movingtongue:

This still will be applicable on any future (IOT) Enterprise xxxx LTSC release:
    Code:
    • Difference between Iot and Non-Iot Windows Enterprise LTSC 2021:
      • Licensing - Non-Iot version supports the KMS license but not the Digital license. Iot version supports the Digital license and after the update 19044.2788, it supports the KMS license as well.
      • Sandbox - Initial release (19044.1288) of Iot LTSC didn’t have sandbox but non-Iot version had. Later updates enabled it in Iot as well, so there is no difference anymore.
      • Reserved storage feature - Iot doesn’t have reserved storage feature and it’s install takes less space in installation. (Feature is not much important for LTSC release)
      • Windows Update - Iot is supported till 2032 and Non-Iot is supported till 2027. Conclusion, Iot LTSC is better.
    • You can change the editions to each other (Iot and Non-Iot Windows Enterprise LTSC) only by inserting corresponding edition key.
    Info accumulated on massgrave website.

But you can still run 2015 LTSB with 10 year support, 2016 LTSB with 10 years support, 2019 LTSC with 10 years support, Enterprise 2021 LTSC with 5 years of support and IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC with 10 years of support but in the past most switched to the most recent released LTSC edition anyway, except now the new hardware requirements will also be enforced on the latest (Win 11 LTSC), so many will stay on (IoT) Enterprise 2021 LTSC.

I couldn't agree more. I've been using this Win 11 LTSC version since it leaked and, even though it is pre-release software, it feels a lot more polished than Win 10 ever was.

All Windows versions after 7 are polished like a t**d. LTSC \ IoT are just lessers of evil.

From the video I see that Windows IoT LTSC 2024 only takes up 9GB of space, but the same thing for Windows LTSC (non-IoT)?
I have Windows 10 LTSC 2019, but it doesn't seem to take up that much disk space.

    That is interesting.

If reserved storage is ever enabled by default, it can be disabled --
    Code:
    DISM.exe /Online /Set-ReservedStorageState /State:Disabled

Is it possible to add The Microsoft Store to this IoT version as with the W10 versions?

I was just wondering how usable is this build even though it's an insider build I am assuming if you hide all the problematic updates it's usable?

I mean I know you shouldn't really use the build since it's still in testing but eh I would still like to run it until it actually goes stable lol.

So just wondering if it it's actually viable.

There is just one update and that is the feature update to a newer build and because that can't work for LTSC it will fail everytime it tries.

In a few months the official and real (IoT) Enterprise 2024 LTSC will be released, best to wait for it or just run (IoT) Enterprise 2021 LTSC, the whole purpose of running LTSB/C is to stay on the same install/build, else you could easily have ran normal enterprise/edu.

Ah ok hmmm I might consider it if there’s only 1 problematic update.

Truthfully I would run windows 11 education but for some odd reason my new asus laptop doesn’t let you choose a windows 11 version just automatically installs windows 11 home.

I could see if maybe I could install windows 11 regular enterprise since you can download it from massgravels site
