OOBE does, but connection isn't always available: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...annel-rs_prerelease.84897/page-2#post-1719934
Before? fine Never used those before, but did so now for testing - YAOCTRU to download, YAOCTRI to install (just Word + Excel). Great scripts! After? fine Then KMS_VL_ALL since I suspect that's what you are interested in? After? not fine, single error at end Error: 424 Object required (Microsoft VBScript runtime error) A second run of slmgr succeeds tho: License files re-installed successfully.
Thank you, but obviously the guide is meant for general audience and you know how most people are: tech-illiterate..or worse (reddit-variety). They need an abundance of visual hints and feedback after every tiny step You and me and mdl users, sure we are not afraid of the command prompt and won't run the risk of mistyping stuff or at least know what to do in that case. I did debate whether to provide the direct commands (even yours is perfectible with fixing the autologin), but after countless bad experiences with instructing people I went with more idiot-proof GUI procedure. I don't see myself ever doing this manually again, I rather use a fixed media with unattend.xml In retrospect I added more slides than needed, mostly for artistic effect
I still do not understand. The issue is that it was commented that a Microsoft account was mandatory. Someone commented that without a network connection it offered a local account. It does not matter: if the sequence that I have commented is followed, the premise that a Microsoft account is needed is false. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-channel-ni_release.84990/page-4#post-1723282
This was definitely a Windows build. I hate it, just like all the others. Maybe a bit more, but I can't really tell; I haven't installed it. I don't plan to ever install it either. It's probably bad. Probably. Most likely, even. Thank you for reading my blog.
Your reply is for when there is a connection when oobe starts, from 22543 it is required to be connected during oobe or it needs to be worked around, else there is a loop after creating the account the first time.
I'll let you in on a secret. Viruses do not exist in nature! Viruses are invented by pharmaceutical companies and injected.
Well, thanks for the motivation! I have simplified it - should be as reddit-proof as I can tolerate Responsibility lies on the user and there's no excuse in my book for getting it wrong via (mostly) GUI. If someone deletes it's "HKLM" due to butter-fingers, that's not my problem.. Here you shot a blank. At no point were I talking about the unattended.xml thing as if it's some trade secret or something. It's just that I did not find it worth more discussion now, plus what I've used is expanding the one I've implemented in MediaCreationTool.bat so it has more unrelated stuff for the bypass tpm in it and trials, not publishing ready. I'm not a fan of having these loose, but instead bundled in boot.wim so it can't affect setup within windows. Last but not least, there's another guy that holds the self-anointed crown of "autounnatend.xml" around here, @awuctl knows him well And yes, Microsoft is known to "deprecate" or "advise against" stuff that do not suit their business interests. If it works, it works, exactly.
SIM says that unattend value is for testing only. Docs "advise against it" because they want all those values set in your "tests" (just as a user would, through OOBE) so they said it's bad to use it while msoobe still honors it. It's "advised against", because neither OEM machines nor mass-deployed trash should (in Microshaft's opinion) ever skip OOBE. So I think it's safe to assume this key will stay and having a workaround at retail RTM will not be a "challenge". There are some other test reg keys for OOBE but none really help in any way.. We wouldn't stand a chance if he was still around. He'd probably "type nul>msoobe.exe" and claim victory
Precisely. /ShowOOBE None is not advised and logs complain about unsupported scenario, yet it is heavily used by microsoft themselves when they want to make sure an upgrade won't fail for a silly OOBE shenanigan. They also did not like <ProtectYourPC>3, as without an express consent they had to default privacy options to off. Not like they give a f**k anymore with 11 and Edge tho. The online-or-bust lockdown is defiantly coming. I did not expect it so soon, time tables are accelerated, guess their pluton device is going well and intel amd and arm have been "receptive" towards screwing user's interest. Once they have something that always connects and can't be turned off being deployed at large, they will push on. But for now, no sweat. , glorious!
ola aboodi all right? how can I do this command to know if the update is installed or pending? Code: %DismRoot% /Image:"%~1" /Get-Packages /PackageName:"%%x" | findstr /c:"State : Installed" >nul
Workaround for the time being is while downloading from uupdump website, select Enterprise Edition and install that instead of Pro. Now OOBE allows creation of Local account with LAN cable unplugged. Later you can use generic Pro key to convert to Pro edition and get HWID activation back.
Having a MS account is not big deal. It is only a big deal for those who wish it to be a big deal. I have also had an MS account for years. I have never had any regrets.
