If you're unable to uninstall because of resetbase or something and it won't let you install over the old one, I'm not sure there's much you can do. Windows updates aren't exactly like upgrading the entire OS, I don't think there's a registry hack that will allow it. It's all intertwined with the winsxs and the catalogues and junk. It's kind-of a mystery to me. When my updates are acting up I usually just shake a shaman staff at it. Edit: ERrr... wait.. did you install the pre-requisite KB2919442 first? I think it's required
that gt installed nly 2 updates nt able to apply also i did registry hack may b that s the issue ? i want to undo the registry if possible thenm il try again
Damm my net was down yesterday, already 20 pages have moved in these thread.. downloading the updates now and testing the integration... Now, need some clarification : wzor says about the contents of Windows update 1 and then At first he says all the Previous Rollup Updates are included in the KB2919355 packages and then he later says that we need to include the Previous Rollup updates. this is what confusing. 1) should we include previous updates before integrating the spring update 1?? 2) wzor has given only 4 updates but in this thread those who got the spring update 1 by reg hack and windows update shows two more updates, which one is correct??
You could just install the update and then use Windows Update to fill in any missing updates. There's no need to install the previous updates manually. I think he just hastily prepared that by copying text from somewhere..
I think it's the March rollup. It's not useless by any means, it's just not part of the official 2014 update.
Do I need to install the whole thing if I already have 17025 installed? Or just KB2937592? Are there any improvements or issues? Speed increases?
But windows update will not show up the updates as of now as it is not officially released. Since sites are now saying that updates are available and even MS had some updates link (later they removed some), why not release them on next Tues (11 Mar)
