@peter_58_ha As it can be seen on the screenshot, you do use some KMS emulator or (highly unlikely) are connected with a real KMS server.
There must be one somewhere in the system, as it was only recently renewed (still shows 180 days which is the highest possible value for that product and SKU). You can check the Task Scheduler, the tasks responsible for renewal will show you the path to AutoKMS.exe.
i think buddy above got some high value ransomware installed on his system except it is reverse ransomware that installed ms toolkit allowing him to use server 2016 perpetually unbeknownst to him he should thank the tool creators and not complain about why it is there like some virus as all tool creators mention if he likes what he sees in his perpetual trial/evaluation period he should purchase the appropriate license from microsoft to use ( legal disclaimer i must add of course
