Hello, i apologise if this has been debated before. Here's my problem, my bios died doesn't matter how , but it can't be recovered via a usb stick or other easy methods. The only way i can do it is to write the memory via a eeprom programmer. The problem is i don't have the file that i need to write. If i download it from toshiba's site(insyde bios) and extract the installer i get a .fd file that doesn't have the same size as the memory on the motherboard, so i asume i have to somehow extract a file from that .fd file?
If you provide us with the exact model name of your computer maybe someone with a similar computer could extract it for you?
thanks for your reply, i was interested if there is a way to extract it from the upgrade provided by the manufacturer as i came across a few laptops that i think had corrupt bios
How should someone be able to help you without pointing to the .fd file / update??? Please post a link to and also post your correct model and SPI chip size. Use h x x p:// (Normally the range to be programmed can be cut out from the fd with an hexeditor)....
