If the soft mod works for you on Vista with no service pack, it will work again with SP1 installed. But as I can see from your *.ats file, there is a SLIC in your bios that is only partialy mapped. So, on some machines with partialy mapped SLIC, soft mod doesn't works. The only way to find out is to try and install the soft mod and if it activates then you can freely install SP1. If Vista with no SP1 installed doesn't activates, the only way is the hard modded bios.
First method didnt help,it doesnt activate afeter reboot.Vista automatically starts Rw program, cert instal ok,key install ok but it wont activate,so i couldnt do anything.Ill try this other method too. Now im on Paradox and avoiding KB940510 from Vista updates, tillfind SP1 solution.I want SP1 because i tried it for few days without activation and comp was slightly faster, especially on startup .
Ok, I have to revise the patch, there is probably a wrong byte or something. I'm quite sure the way will work at SP1. Can you please post the *.ATS report after the rw program has started? It would be much easier for me to figure out what's wrong..... Thanks in advance.
I tried second way too,it didn't help, i think tokens.dat is not suitable for 6720,i even couldn't open control panel, system properties...etc,so when i put back old tokens it started to work again. I'll post .ats report with rw everything on,it seems there's SLIC table installed, but what can be wrong now?
So your Notebook was already made to contain a full SLIC. No biosmod /patch needed. Enjoy. Btw: This are the same activation steps (except one additional command) I've posted before.
I did it like you said, but no,it wont activate.Even it wont activate on first installing of key and certificate.SLIC is presented, cert installed, key installed but theres no activation.Theres still difference in PID numbers. Is there anyone else to try??? @oferta,lucky you,you have full SLIC in BIOS,so you dont need to worry
Vladman confirmed it to work. Are you sure that you don't run another softmod additionally? I'll have a look at it again later, but all seems fine... how did you check for activation? What version of Vista have you installed? Ultimate Retail?
I used voatktool to uninstall paradox, then did all like u said.I have Ultimate retail activated by paradox.I dont know why,but it wont activate.Should i try new clean install?
Yes, please. Install original Ultimate retail, don't enter the key during setup. No softmod, no other cert. Disable UAC. Install RW everything with patch, reboot. Activate now without -rilc command: Run as admin (CMD) slmgr -ilc C:\HPQOEMSLIC-MPC.XRM-MS (wait for response) slmgr -ipk ultimate key -92CC (wait for response) Please reply....IMO it should work......
