In the past, i have done similar setups (host = 2012 and HyperV VM = 2008 ans NO KMS Emulator) without any activation issues. Very peculiar that I cannot even install the certificate on the physical host or at least the SLIC Toolkit doesn't see it. Manually opening the cert in SLIC toolkit loos good and seems to work (hmm). What the right certificate for my physical host?

First of all: VRTUALMICROSOFT does not come with a valid SLIC/cert. It's the dummy SLIC of the VM BIOS and needs to be patched first. Physical machine: The certificate that matches the DELL PE_SC3 version 2.4 SLIC found in the dell/2.4 folder https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/oa-2-x-slic-oemcert-collection.5952/page-53#post-514521 It doesn't matter if the SLIC toolkit finds it. The certificate is right when you are activated. If you are interested you can manually find the certificate. It will be stored in tokens.dat after successfully applying the slmgr -ilc C:\DELL-DD981F15.XRM-MS command. Just search for the same ASCII sequence as the certificate starts in the tokens.dat file. The certificate's headers have changed during revisions...maybe the SLIC toolkit is too old. Info: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/how-do-i-extract-my-oem-cert.144/#post-2179
What would I put in a asset tag field to get SLIC for a PowerEdge T30? Also, if this worked can it be updated for SLIC 2.5? Would it be permanent if the Asset Tag field was emptied?
