[How To] Activate Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center RTM

using the method posted by clockmaker i get the error running on a computer that is a microsoft windows non core edition any ideas?

 

u hhave free wmc key? jus replace data.at se the post then u wont get any error

 

So I have activated with the Media Center key. Now how do I manually back up my activation? Is it the same as Windows 8?

 

yes i followed his post exactly and put in my free wmc key but as i click on the last option where you activate the error i get is about it being a non core edition

I have tried phone activation through skype. After pressing "one" the automated message says "No key pressed". Tried both on keyboard and on screen provided by skype and windows.

Any Help???

These are not allowed to share according to Yen and the forun rules.

Or do you mean on your system?

I don't know... I had W8.1 Pro x64 activated by phone but when I upgraded to Pro WMC it got blacklisted!

Now I don't know where I can find that file?

 

Geeeeez....at least try minimum punctuation. It´s hard to understand your posts.

 

But you said you are activated. Just select country and dial number. You have to choose the toll free number. My Case even if i press "1" for home user it is not accepting. Tried in 3 different computer.

No body is bothered to answer my question or give any ideas. Okay guys you enjoy

but i cant figure out where to get that data.dat file.

am i missing something? is there a link that i cant see or will i get that file automatically after adding media center?
