    ABSOLUTELY!

There is no point of this thread at all! Because you do not get any errors if you delete the .cfg file. I have installed Basic, Premium and Ultimate without it, and no problems!

Hm, i tried again to create a ISO by using the original x64 ultimate en-us iso, but did not work with the x64 edition.
Seems some other option is needed too.

Guys, no fighting, please. The thread starter knows what he's talking about. And he's right.
    Good post.

Have you changed the timezone? Have you set correct date and time (the same of the original image)?

Yes, with the x86 Version it works perfect.
The size of the X64 ISO is smaller then the original image ?

    Nothing to do with timezone.
If you open the ISO with UltraISO you will see that the files from Root do not have the same LBA Adress.

Setup.exe starts at LBA Adress 3046 in MSDN ISO, but my x64 ISO at 2326.
My x64 ISO is always smaller than the MSDN ISO. So i think it has to do with the Filesystem. But i tried different UDF Options :-/

Try to don't use the "-o" switch.

Thank you, but now the size of the ISO is bigger then the original.

If i am loading the original with "Iso Buster", there is a file "bootimage.img" in the Menu "Bootable Disc"

This file does not exist in my ISO-Image

This file is the different to the x86 Version

    You're right. That's a multi-boot dvd.
    The solution may be this:

    1) with isobuster extract the BootImage.img file to the desktop (or other folder)

    2) launch the cdimage command after replace the "-b" switch with

    -bootdata:2#p0,bwin7_files\boot\etfsboot.com#pEF,bBootImage.img

Let me know if this works.

hmm, i tried this syntax, (with and without "-o") but the ISO-size doesn´t match again :(

    Code:
    cdimage -u2 -udfver102 -bootdata:2#p0,bwin7_files\boot\etfsboot.com#pEF,bBootImage.img -o -lGRMCPRXFRER_DE_DVD -t07/15/2009,12:39:51 win7_files win7_professional_german_x64_retail_official.iso
    (Bootimage.img is now existing)

So, you want to obtain this iso:

    de_windows_7_professional_x64_dvd_X15-65813.iso
    SHA1: 561E22FB42DB1CA8386125E3EACD0BBB2387D4B8
    ISO/CRC: C62DADC3
(Professional edition, 64 bit, Retail channel, German language)

    Right?

What official image do you start from (edition, official iso name, hash)?

    I start with this ISO

    de_windows_7_ultimate_x64_dvd_x15-66046.iso

    SIZE: 2,97 GB (3 192 264 704 bytes)

    CRC32: 13F6E37A
    MD5: AEEA763527B7D962FB9F2BD77021099F
    SHA-1: EA0F94C558C1E6974C8F8C154EBCB5850DC63144

    The created ISO:

    SIZE: 3.190.792.192 bytes

    CRC32: 15ed2338
    MD5: 4b0fe87461e02eecff573115f66a8141
    SHA-1:401909d74c999fafac02677e8ce506de02d56bb4

    I think 12:39:51 is correct.

But i used an Ultimate x64 ISO, and just tried to get an Ultimate x64 ISO with same hash. I get the same size if i use the "efisys.bin" as second bootentry, but then, if i open the ISO with IsoBuster it looks different.
If i open the MSDN x64 ISO with IsoBuster, in "bootable disc" i only see a 4KB "Microsoft Corporation.img" file and a 0,5KB "BootImage.img" file.
But in my image both files are 1,41MB

EDIT: I got it now. I made a German x64 Ultimate ISO and got the same md5 by using this command:
    Code:
    cdimage254.exe -u2 -udfver102 -o -lGRMCULXFRER_DE_DVD -t07/15/2009,12:39:51 -bootdata:2#p0,betfsboot.com#pEF,ebefisys.bin I:\GRMCULXFRER_DE_DVD I:\GRMCULXFRER_DE_DVD.iso

    EDIT2: Also made a German x64 Professional Disc with MD5 705b6aaa5cf406428c2ab5e4d76c0cc4 and SHA1: 561e22fb42db1ca8386125e3eacd0bbb2387d4b8

    I used the efisys.bin located in efi\microsoft\boot
