Yes it works but it will also break the Embedded Binary Symbols used inside the script for Displaying some special characters. So need to make some changes for that.
Feedback & recommendation: The Users folder from Enterprise 2015 LTSB (N) makes the installation looking more LTSB.
....I used Professional here, but dont was removed completly apps metro, some apps like games still remain..xD
Most importantly: These 3 app folders for LTSB 1. Empty \Program Files\WindowsApps \Program Files\WindowsApps\Deleted 2. Empty \Windows\InfusedApps \Windows\InfusedApps\Applications \Windows\InfusedApps\Frameworks \Windows\InfusedApps\Packages 3. \Windows\SystemApps ContactSupport_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.AccountsControl_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.BioEnrollment_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.LockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.Windows.AssignedAccessLockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.Windows.CloudExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_cw5n1h2txyewy Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy ParentalControls_cw5n1h2txyewy ShellExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy WindowsFeedback_cw5n1h2txyewy [Note] If Windows Defender was removed, remove the shortcut manually from: \Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools
I would like to thank you damianfox and all the MDL community for such interesting thread. I built and installed the "Super LTSB" ISO. Very happy about how it run. I just added the calculator and the Media feature pack for Windows 10 N - KB3010081. Now Adobe Premiere and other video editing related software ask for "wmvcore.dll" that is missed on my system. I suspect that "wmvcore.dll" come with Windows Media Player that is not supplied in KB3010081. Any help about how to solve the missed .dll will be greatly appreciated.
You can try extracting the "wmvcore.dll" file and copy it to the system32 folder and test the Adobe Premiere I don't know whether any MediaFormatFeaturePack is available for Windows 8.x and above like one available for Windows 7 N editions. May be you need to extract the Media Formats CAB from Windows 10 Regular edition and then integrate them to N edition.
@xinso: Thanks for your help and files. I run Win 10 - 64 bit. I Installed the supplied dll. in system32 and SysWOW64 folders. After that wmvcore.dll is correctly recognized but now WMASF.DLL + Mfperfhelper.dll are missed (and I suspects others...) @MSMG: Thanks for your advice to extract Media Formats CAB from a regulat Win10 edition and then integrate it on my N installation. I'm dumb, so any help about how to perform this task will be really appreciated!
Windows media player is obviously included in the media feature pack, with all the needed dlls. If you don't have them something wend wrong during the installation of the package.
@xinso: Thanks for the second set of dll files. They was recognized but after that Mfperfhelper.dll was missed. @T-S: After reading your answer, I re-read the KB3010081 description page. Previously I miss the following notice: "In Windows 10 1511, this update is superseded by update 3099229 for the November 2015 release of Media Feature Pack." After installing KB3099229 everything is OK. Now I'm happy, thanks all for assistance!
would be great to have the search option with the start menu... Like its on the real LTSB, where Cortana is disabled and search works.
You could use install_wim_tweak and remove the cortana package and then mod the registry to set the search mode to desktop only.
