Hi @ratzlefatz - I think there may be a bug in the 2nd Dec version... If I try and show the activation status of a 365ProPlus system with Visio and Project, I get activation status : 9 (---UNKNOWN---) Previous versions up and to including 19th Nov all worked fine in this regard. let me know if you need any debug info.
@Zopeman : I'm sure, you didn't run (C)onversion again. As "Mondo" is used now during conversion process, check fails because still "ProfessionalPlus" license and ProPlus key is active. Redo (C) CONVERT OFFICE RETAIL TO VOLUME. I'm sure, it will work.
Guys, I have installed office 2019 but i want office 365 features. I know office 365 is continuous update was wondering if i can install a trial update it once and convert to VL and activate, will the new features stay or disappear? or is there any other way of doing it? thanks.
Being something of a novice am not clear on the reason for the strategy .."- Added "Office Mondo" license conversion for Office 365 / Business 365 (thanks @abbodi1406 for inspiration)".... and it implications. Am I correct in thinking that because the Mondo key is applied at VL conversion, this guarantees full feature functionality? And this is to negate a loss of functionality somehow now encountered with the previous 365PP conversion process? i.e Mondo is the only way to restore this? My understanding is that Mondo builds expire after a certain period and that at this point an uninstall will become necessary?... before re-installing with another build (either a newer Mondo, or something different offered in the DL part of OfficeRTool? )
Mondo is not beta or preview, it's official SKU, but not public full Office 365 features requires acrual Office 365 subscription Mondo licenses provide some of them
How to properly scrub/remove Office C2R or Office 2016 MSI (by abbodi1406) -> https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/discussion-microsoft-office-2019.75232/page-33#post-1466365.
@Cilian74: As this still doesn't work, you could delete and rebuild the license tokens.dat file. Windows 8/10: look into the posts here, here, here and see also the posts here (Win7) and here.
You original question was not clear, it sound like you don't have Project/Visio, yet their licenses are present but if you installed Project/Visio 2019 directly as Volume SKUs, of course you will get their licenses converting O365ProPlus with Mondo does not remove them even if you manually removed them, updating Office to new build will reinstall them
@abbodi1406 I'm sorry if I wasn't clear I uninstalled office using the following link https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/discussion-microsoft-office-2019.75232/page-33#post-1466365 I reinstalled Office 365 + Project + Visio using OfficeRTool Office 365 had gone back to Grace Period/Trial, Project and Visio's Lisences remained activated I tried cleanospp, didn't work I tried unpkey, didn't work I tried what @ratzlefatz recommended I reinstalled Office AGAIN and Project and Visio's Lisences remained activated Any chance that OfficeRTool modified a system file?
cleanospp removes product keys and licenses, it will not / cannot remove or reset KMS activation, because it's tied with Windows activation, and require spp store rebuild (not just tokens.dat), or rearm Office if you uninstalled Project/Visio product keys, then i don't know how it's possible the licenses remain activated unless Office itself reinstall the keys when you run Project/Visio anyway, better ignore this licenses duplication, as long as programs and features are working
Some experiments with adding ProofingTools and LanguagePack alone with ODT (after Office is already installed) first of all, both must have the same version as already installed Office C2R otherwise, the setup will look for or download the full Office source matching LangPack version, and perform upgrade or downgrade LanguagePack requires the same set of files as complete Office source, except the neutral stream (stream.x86.x-none.dat or stream.x64.x-none.dat) however, setup also needs "access" to the source files of currently installed Office Language by access i mean it check the availability of files, if they don't exist locally in the source path of LanguagePack, it check the files online using the registered cdnbaseurl for stream .dat files, it only check that they are available online for .cab files, it download them to verify the already installed components (e.g. s320.cab, s321033.cab) so, if you want to install LanguagePack completely offline, you will need to have complete Office source files for the main language too otherwise, internet is required for reachability check (i took the term from log files) ProofingTools require 5 files (x86) or 4 files (x64) e.g. english x86: Code: i320.cab i640.cab s320.cab sp321033.cab stream.x86.en-us.proof.dat it have the same behavior regarding reachability check for the source files of installed Office
Apologies if this has been asked/answered before but I couldn't find a specific posting.... Office 365 vs. Office 2019....My understanding is that the Office part of O365 has features not included in O2019. so... 1. Can O365 be activated without having to do so thru MS account? If so, how? 2. If I download/activate the O2019 part of O365, does that mean I get features that I wouldn't get if I only downloaded O2019 (and does the O2019 part of O365 get activated the same just like I was activating O2019?) 3. If I install the O2019 part of O365 will O2019 be updated with new features just like O365 would be (maybe this is a circular reference back to No. 1, above)? 4. Or does it not matter and downloading O2019 vs. the O2019 part of O365 is basically the same product? Thx to the people who have worked so diligently to make this happen. Amazing and you are Gods!!!! Thx in advance....
1. Not directly, but by converting O365 licensing to Mondo volume, it can be activated with KMS and get some of Office 365 features There is no O2019 of O365 or O2019 alone, it's the only same Office 2019 if you mean the version number (higher Retail vs. lower Volume), it should not affect the actual Office 2019 features which are determined by licenses
