I ran the elevated command line: slmgr.vbs -ilc TOSQCITOSQCI00.XRM-MS for the certificate. I did a rw everything after I installed the modded bios, and the header came back 2.1 but the slic table still had 53 20 00 00 so it still looks like a 2.0 table. I am thinking I did not mod the bios correctly. I going to try slic dump toolkit to check. update: it shows as a 2.0 slic, but I am sure I chose a 2.1 bin.....strange. There seems to be 2 folder paths for Toshiba. Inside 2.1 folder there are toshiba bins and also inside root there are toshiba bins with 2.1 in the name. What is correct path to slic 2.1 bin? update#2: I found a similar model that used the same bios "TOSHIBA_Satellite_M305-S4848-Toshiba-3.20.rar" and flashed that. Then I used the certificate and key included in the archive and still no worky......confused.
well there must be some advanced tabs or something, cuz all I can get is for the header to be slic2.1, the actual table remains 2.0 no matter what I do. I give up and will go to the request area.
Busykid508 Why are we shown that 4 lines Invalid module to flash BIOS Lenovo T500. All done under the direction of Busykid508. Is it wrong ..... Thanks!
It's a module parsing info. Status is success! You may ignore the 'invalid' message. @All If you encounter problems at modding your bios, you have to provide a rwe report made of the original bios and a link to your original bios. Thanks.
In the light of this information that you provided, yes, you can find what SLIC version is in the bios file. Just load the bios file into the tool and it will tell you what slic is in the bios file, if any.
Hey Sorry if this is off topic but I have a compaq v3000 with phoenix f.09 bios version. I have never touched it except with Daz loader. I usually use Daz soft mod option but I tried the advanced mode. I'm not sure what it does in relation or in comparison to bios mod. Anyhow it worked without reboot then I restarted and my windows 7 was not activated. I'm using soft mod again and have even used removeWAT but I'm sincerely interested in making the most solid activation solution possible which is what I'm guessing you are skilled about. I understand my request's are supposed to be in a certain thread but I couldn't access that thread. If you wanna help and direct me a little you will not find a more enthusiastic dude around. I also seem to like to help people so this help would be more than for myself. timesurfer
More and more manufacturers of computers also offers two types of BIOS through x86 and x64. At the forum, I heard an explanation that is not recommended to flash BIOS x64, (Do NOT use winphlash for x64) because it was bios x86 and x64 in the interior of the same. Please expert-ce to explain the BIOS or flash bios x64 or not. Thank you!
