Are we to guess what file to which you refer? Or do you want to give us a hint and tell us outright to what you refer?
It would be much easier if you posted a link to your bios file....no one can help you if you expect them to pull it out of their ass and make the bios file to magically appear.
hello, sorry... my english is bad im download new version bios for eMachines E725 (v3.03), im opened in the TOOL and visible pubkey(x2), slic2.0 and slic2.1 how to activate windows7 on this bios?
Busykid508 For your information. 10 days ago I successfully updated the BIOS (v3.03) in my notebook (E725) with SLIC2.1 using the New Phoenix Mod Tool. I am deeply impressed and very grateful.
I need to do my own modified BIOS for a Lenovo Y450 because I updated it with the manufacturer's version 388 and now it won't accept the modified 288 version I found through this website. Problem is there are so many SLIC 2.1 folder which came with the Phoenix tools. I used the one which simply showed LENOVO.BIN but out of curiosity, what do the others do? I believe this was explained somewhere on this forum but after jumping from post to post, thread to thread and section to section, I can't remember where I came across the explanation.
Sorry, my poor english. My environment is DBCS. So, I must use rc5 or later. Thank you for your advice..
I suggest to use the latest version only. Andy fixes bugs / improves the tool, so I don't recommend to use an old version although it could work..... RC versions are 'unofficial'..
So I found out the Insyde BIOS of my (old) PB laptop can't be modded, cause it contains no SLIC table. I want to know if it's really impossible to do ? Done some reading and I did find everywhere that Insyde BIOS has to contain a SLIC to be able to replace it with 2.1...
First, whoever told you this has lied to you. Second, if the insyde bios file is not the old INSYDE bios file when it first came out, it can be modified.... Have you tried to modify it with the new Mod Tool?
