When listening to that people can try to make aware 'who' steps into resonance with it and 'what' happens. Why is it a 'good' explanation to some and to others just BS? It results always to one duality 1/2. 1. Resistance/thoughts/disagreement/objections 2. Inner peace compassion and bliss..'something' that recognizes truth, steps into resonance and enjoys. 'Something' that recognizes one-Self in any-thing and as result compassion and inner peace. 1. Those who listen as a person to it (the ones hiding in their separate identity/intellect/ = creating individual resistance not giving up their thought idea of themselves) 2. Those who are present 'all the time'. 1. Requires the intellect mind and thoughts, based on retrospective mechanisms, even a thought about the 'future' is based on retrospection. (Your past determines your thoughts about future.). Only presence while doing interrupts the relation to past thoughts. 2. Requires constant presence All established educational instances also established science and their means are (mainly) based on 1. Meditation makes use of 2. Meditation is no abstract instruction to fool the intellect. Means of Meditation are present in every human..more or less... Real creativity and intuition 'something new' comes from 2. Repeating history in different coats from 1. Most of the people live in 1. Some move from 1 to 2 and back to 1 and forth again depending on their grade of presence and only a few remain at 2. With it real creativity/joy of life-being and enthusiasm comes and goes. These are the reasons why debates about that are always stuck in the mentioned dualism and lead to 'nothing'..... People never leaving 1 don't even know 2. And people knowing 2 cannot verbally communicate 'it' by the means of 1. To intellectually understand one-self as eternal, infinite unity not differentiable to god means nothing. 'Meaningful' is to be (it)....and to keep most of 1. out of it 'I am' is the 'best' translation of god. 'I am' is incomprehensible so 'god' is incomprehensible....also to avoid the misunderstanding of 'I am god' and all the might games about 'my' god is more powerful than yours. This reflects (my) life all what I have 'learned' and know from other cultures and humans during life...
If there were a god and he was omniscient, there would still be free will. Omniscient only means knowing everything. Just because this supposed god knows everything doesn't preclude me from having free will. It only means he already knows what I will choose no matter what my choice its. For example, if I choose A, he knew I would. If I choose B, he also knew that. How he knows it, is beyond our ken and personally, I'm not going to worry about it because there is no god anyway.
No, it does not mean that. If there is no possibility to create anything new, as yet unseen, unheard of etc. - then we are talking about absolutely deterministic setup in which you actually do not have 'free will'...
God is omniscient. God is all knowing and all wise. There are many verses in the Bible that testify to this. One in particular is Nahum 1:7 - "The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him." However, God also gave man a free will to choose whether or not to trust in him. Joshua 24:15 - "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Sincerely, brosmith
@brosmith: May the LORD bless you and keep you. And all of those who live by GOD's promise. Always. And welcome to MDL.
Oh, dear... Welcome, indeed! On the other hand, these things you just mentioned, bro, are mutually exclusive...
To ask whether or not God is omniscient depends on whether or not there is a God. This can neither be proven nor disproven. I will say that if indeed humanity has a higher power, it is certainly not some white dude sitting in clouds high above the earth. Due to the fact that early man knew so little about the nature of the universe he created a mythical being, and mythical beings to explain it all. Hence, God is a creation of man's. Man is not the creation of God's. God's very existence depends on people believing in him, and all the early gods of all the ancient civilizations were just as real to them as the creatures we call gods today.
Does it really matter The purpose of asking a question usually is to utilize the results obtained to understand more complex probs. Generally. This question though may seem deep, at the very same time is purely redundant, My answer may not soothe your emotions, but is based in fact. Life is an aberration. the universe Detests Life in all its forms, as the universe views life as a threat to its existence from a mathematical POV. life is treated as a hostile entity just 1000 mts above or below ground. May be the understanding we have of the entity as we qualitatively assume as GOD could be flawed. the rarity of life in the universe is a glaring example of how hostile the universe is towards life. Now this view, may be also wrong. My point is instead of contemplating unimaginable sizes & forces we, Humanity as a whole needs to be involved with the creation of A.I. there will be many versions of A.I , it would be atleast a thousand versions before we could have something with the abilities to compare it with how A.I is depicted in movies. I believe the question & study of god should be done by a being(A.I) that is capable of comprehending the vast complexity & improbability that is known as GOD.
You mean a pc or some type of machine should determine if their is a god or not? That's definitely a different take on the God stuff
Romans 1:18-22 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,"
If one exists, God is not omniscient. Were God omniscient he would not have had to search for Adam in the garden. http://biblehub.com/genesis/3-8.htm http://biblehub.com/genesis/3-9.htm
So what you are saying is that God is not allowed to play along with us human's silly little games ? You don't have any children, do you ?
