Hello, I don't know if it has been requested before but I need your help. I have a HP Pavilion DV6 3046sa with Insyde Bios version F.29 (latest official version available from HP support webpage). I wanted to upgrade my WiFi card and found out that is not supported by the laptop (as I understand due to 'whitelist' that HP uses). the other problem I have is that I got rid of Windows from my laptop as I started using Linux (Solus OS 4.1 to exact) but I don't know how to find out all the details you need to be given in order to try and help. Ideally I would like to remove the bios whitelist for WiFi card and maybe to select only one of the graphic cards to work all times (there is Radeon HD 4250 & 5470). If somebody can help that will be great, as the laptop (although quite old) with Linux has still a lot to give (as I don't play games anyway) and I would like to take advantage from a higher WiFi connection. thanks in advance
I did the HP Insyde UEFI BIOS Recovery by following the instructions, but using a modded bios doesn't seem to work because I get an error saying BIOS Recovery Failed upon loading UEFI after WIn+B
