- iso with the media creation tool is with install.esd, extract iso and convert install.esd to install.wim download esd-decrypter-v4c
No, inside the ISO there is a Install.wim file. No ESD. If you make a USB key with the tool, then there is a ESD file, but if you create a ISO, then its a WIM file. I will just give up on integrate the update. Not that big a deal at this time.
What are you all talking about? just download the MSDN iso for your system platform from pauls "X" files, x86 or x64 and there will be a wim in it. The wims in the iso's created by the mediacreation tool don't want to be mounted over here. Integrate kb3074686 and kb3074678 (After those 2 you could do a resetbase) and than integrate kb3081424 and you're ready to go... Open the original ISO in ultraiso* (or other iso tool, like poweriso etcetc) and replace the original wim with the updated wim, hit on "Save as", give it a nice name and you can install an updated win 10. If you are going to do a normal BIOS install you can use the win 7 usb/dvd tool to create a bootable usb drive. If you need to use UEFI, format any USB stick in FAT32 format and extract the iso to that drive (x64 win only and you have to keep the biggest file in the iso (normally the wim file) under 4GB else it won't fit on a FAT32 drive, that's all *or use the proper oscdimg commands to create an iso.
