What do you mean, nothing happened? You won't be able to tell just by the BIOS...boot into your OS and run Slic Tool 3.2 and check if you are Slic 2.1 now...there is nothing else that I can tell ya...You won't know if something happened or not....As long as your BIOS updated to that new Slic 2.1 BIOS...you should be fine!

Sorry man...I guess I still had some kind of Win 7 Loader installed. I reformatted the system, and redid the BIOS, and it stayed exactly the same. Slic 2.0. I'll keep trying different methods and see if I can get it. Talk to you later

Just so everyone knows, I was originally getting the "your windows marker file is out of date.
you must create a new windows marker file utilizing a different value for OEMTableID."

By changing the date back to 1/1/2009 I was able to successfully use the OA2Intel to inject SLIC 2.1 into my Intel DG33TL motherboard without having to edit any files or anything special.

Just set the date back, run the OA2Intel tool from an Admin CMD Prompt. Then change the date back again after it's done.

Uninstalled Daz's Loader and inserted a Dell Cert and corresponding Key and Voila I am now 2.1 Genuine without any loader :)

    Hope this helps guys.

    Dx58so slic 2.1

Have successfully installed SLIC 2.1 on my Intel DX58SO bios 5456.
    Steps:

Get system date to something in 2008:
    Run oa2intelwin.exe pubkey.bin marker.bin pksign.bin
(I used the *.bin files from DELL supplied in the archive)

    Check with
    oa2intelwin status
    Reboot

    Check with SLICtoolkit 3.2
(it didn't work so i had to run oa2intelwin erase and try again)

Copied dell certificate DELL.XRM-MS on C:\
    slmgr -ilc C:\DELL.XRM-MS
    slmgr -PIK XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
(Your product key shoud be an OEM SLP key matching the brand (ie DELL))
    slmgr -ATO
    del c:\dell.xrm-ms
    Reboot

Done !!! I was able to use Windows 2008 R2 server Enterprise.

Btw, i really own this software for my company, but i use a standard machine to test everything before real life deployment and i'm fed up reinstalling everything just to check.

Thanks to all you guys having done a great job with this :)

Hi Yen, i saw it was already on the forum but not with the gigabyte files, was just thinking the more brand files we can get for the tool the better as saw some people having problems and only being able to use the JPSCSA option (could be these boards are only allowed certain slics ? - ie board id=### just a thought).
well its there as an option ;)

Brilliant, thanks dude - this should be noted as one of the necessary steps for completing the operation. Have spent hours trying the tool, in windows, in dos and on here after to try to glean info on HOW to create a new marker (thinking out of date meant in terms of version). Never occurred to me it actually meant expired by date!

    Take note people!!

    Big thanks to all here!!
