Fixed that for you! Because Windows 2000 Professional was the greatest OS I used before XP came and wasn't anywhere near the s**t they called ME.
Windows 8 has not Aero transparency like Windows 7, why have they removed it? I don't like without transparency...
XP was the worst OS in history. M$ spent billions fixing the bloody thing because it was full of bugs and was a security nightmare. They even had to make core changes with SP2. It set M$ back years in development. For me I was glad to see the back of it. Windows 8 well at first I thought I wouldnt like it but the more I use it the more I like it. Its damn fast and if you ignore the metro crap the core part of the OS is great.
I've used just about every version of Windows since version 1 (including Microsoft Bob and Windows ME) and Windows 8 is the least ready for release of any of them. I can't believe that this build is the version they intend to sell for money. It is full of bugs. Microsoft has in the past released new OSs with the plan of fixing them later and maybe that is what they plan to do with Windows 8 too. I hope so.
I give you that. XP was seriously fixed with SP2. but 7 is better. Now, why should I bother to install 8 over 7 if my first issue is to get rid of "Metro"? 7 is also fast, although I admit to lack any serious comparison.
I have to totally disagree with you. I just installed Windows 8 on an "old" Acer aspire 5920g, and it breathed new life into it. It's damn fast, it boots from BIOS in 20 seconds, 8 seconds or less if you start counting after BIOS POST. Just awesome... people may not like Metro but I find it fast and really well-made, plus integrated notifications is just something I missed on Windows 7!
How about drivers for it all in the Acer, m8? Did you install a "Start" app? Can you post pickies? Activation? Cheers! P.S. I have 5920G and use it for my son's education and entertainment, with Vista SP2, which is kinda W7, hence the Q...
And it is fast because the hardware had been fast all the time. The sloppy programming of M$ that had been reverted at w8 unveils its full potential now...did I say full? lol...
Completely agree with you. If it wasn't for its non-desktop interface , would be a huge success. Just love Windows 7. If MS just gave us Windows 7 + Win8 performance improvements, it would be perfect. Why not let the user to choose?
Sorry .. boys and girls ... but , i hate the damn thing ... i just dont see the point ... oh , the nice colours and shapes ..lol must have been designed by a Five year old child for a 3 year old child ...lol This as the Halmarks of Vista Mk2 .... I hope windows 9 will be better .. New slogan ..... KILL 8ILL ...
but its fast bro..you have to admit it...and you also have to take a look at positive side .....yes..design maybe bad... i have to admit....but...we can manage it a little
