"Honestly", if there was enough evidence to support it, is your mind open enough to upgrade? I know a very computer illiterate friend who upgraded to Windows 10 Pro 64 bit on day one. Only 3GB of ram. Never had a problem. (But honestly, I did convince them to go with a SSD. 10 is a dog on HDD. So is Windows 7) "Windows 10 will never be finished.", correct. No active OS is ever finished. Is Linux finished? Is OS X finished? Is Android finished? And if anyone insists on a finished OS, I can recommend Windows XP.
Hi President Trump, Are you the real "President Trump" of the US? If so, I wonder how you find time and command wisdom to be a part of such technical discussions. Well, I am from India and a fan of your style showing 'Thumb Up' while making a face as shown in your profile photo posted in this forum. Thanks!
This does work, but it seems only with certain device drivers. I'm doing a Win7 install right now and can confirm that AMD's USB Filter driver can have its .inf installed via right-click. Meanwhile, I don't believe their AHCI driver works like that.
No advocate of either side myself, however I genuinly would like to understand why you feel this upgrade is more complicated or less easy than any other previous one.
Please correct me if I'm mistaken but I'm a gamer and I heard certain hardware from Intel and Nvidia is going to require the latest build of win10 (which might also upset LTSB users). Something to consider at least.
Windows 10, Jus a fancy Skin for win Se7en, win 10, not much you can do with it, BUT, M$ say's you must have it, more secure ETC, 'ya right' .........But.....'The Sheeple Are Perfectly Content With There Programming' One should ask...... 'Have You Ever Questioned The Nature Of Your Reality?' And, What do you use it for, Browse the web, High End Games, Graphic intense programs, DVD Ripping, well win se7en will do all those with ssd drives or sshd drives and 16gb ram and eight core processor, copy files across drives @ 150mbs/s, so do you really need Win 10...... Answer ..... No, unless it's Win 10 LTSB N, BUT M$ say's you carnt have that......
The average Joe will not likely need directX12, and i Know no one who has a pc as high spec as mine, and I play very high end games and edit video etc no problems on win Se7en win se7en 64bit ssd and sshd drives 8 cores 16gbs ram 10TB space GTX 960 6gbs card 34" curved widescreen monitor water cooled with a water cooled peltier device win se7en sp1, NO updates
I got a wife, a mortgage and 2 cars, can't afford such a big huge system Ps, what exactly is a "win se7en", starter/basic/premium/pro/ultimate/enterprise and did you pay for it?
If you have win 7, you only run ultimate, because you can, and yes I own it and have had it for years, what do I do you ask, I milk Cows for a living, as a farm worker, its jus another toy.....
As an gamer, and Nvidia user, Vulkan right now is a lot more interesting then DX12. Gives Me increased performance while DX12 decreases it. Also huge plus that Vulkan is not limited to One OS. There is no use for DX12 atm ( i do of course want to see it being improved over time and finally be something that can replace DX11 in the future.) , therefore gamers and Nvidia users, use whatever OS you like.
I have upgraded all of my computers here at home to Win 10 Pro and have not looked back. Transitioning from Win 7 Pro/8.1 Pro was seamless and no loss of data. Not sure why so many are so against Win 10 when the upgrade is done properly, there isn't any earth shaking reason to stay with Win 7/8.1. Some are whining about the loss of legacy programs. There is no need to lose any of the legacy programs if you emulate either Win 7 or Win 8.1, but by the same token, the software programs that you are running should already be Win 10 compatible anyways. If those programs are not, then you may need to look elsewhere. I had 2 legacy programs on my Win 7 Pro computer, I checked out the software company and it turned out that they did have a FREE update of their software to comply with Win 10. Some of you may need to do more research one some of the potential software hurdles, but once you have figured it out, making the switch is far less painful than you think.
Before installing KB3138615, a lot of people recommend disabling WU or something along those lines, it's something I enter in CMD. Anyone know what it is?
