It is far better than nuclear power. Also there are inventions to store and remove the emitted CO2. It is not radioactive lol.... And there are ways to produce plastics using the CO2 already (polycarbonate) These are facts. Research is everything.
Yes that's the typical headache of Nuclear plants. There are quite a lot of people working on this right now. Something that really brought it to the forefront for me was a Bill Gates talk, seems he has put quite a bit of money into it. I also read this article a while back, would be fascinating if they can actually make a Traveling Wave Reactor. However until it comes to fruition, it will remain a huge problem. I couldn't agree with you more in this respect. Global Warming is such a money making scam. It really annoys me to see some of the ridiculous claims being put forward. You only have to take a look at the Earth's climate from the Ordovician to the Carboniferous geological periods to see just how extreme CO2 was on the planet before humans. Now you get changes in rainfall or misplaced hurricanes and CO2 gets blamed. They then proceed to break out their favourite words "irreparable consequences" and "runaway climate change". I guess someone decided to runaway with the stats too so they had to fix that as well.
Yeah. I seriously think that whoever is interested in nuclear energy needs to get a life. Sorry, but it's the truth.
Possibility of gene mutation causing birth of strange new creatures exists, even thou slim Threat level upgraded to level 7 with 800 tons of nuclear fuel within the damaged complex and nuclear radiation now spreading as far as California http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...s-to-highest-level-the-same-as-Chernobyl.html http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-03-18/news/29179531_1_radiation-nuclear-plant-health-risk
Don't think you will get Godzilla type mutations, that's more Hollywood type garbage. Might cause cancer and deformities at birth though.
