Hi all otherwise is not possible to take the english build 9477 and integrate in windows 8.1 rtm chinese ?

Or you could take the language pack and directly insert it using dism commands or manually do so.

 

dism is not that stupid either. It checks version numbers.

 

I once tried to mod a language pack cab... it did not work.
It's MUCH easier to mod the files on an older version, then copy files over to the newer install, then capture the image after setting language to en-us

 

Any chance that upgrading w/ this one on a Windows 8 x64 RTM Enterprise install would keep the original (English) language of the original install?

 

Hello and excuse me for my bad english. I need last windows 8.1 x86 because i have a tablet with atom CPU. Can i upgrade to x64?

I upgraded from fresh windows 8 to 8.1 and ended up with most apps English but the system still Chinese. Swapping in and out language files won't work if you are on about placing the 8.1 .wim into the 8.0 iso.

The 8.1 .wim basically contains the OS (think of it as zipping up your c:/Windows Dir.) If it was as simple as copying some files from 8.0 to 8.1 iso that be grate bit its not you would have to edit the .wim in 8.1 and editing that you might aswell just edit the OS once installed result would be the same.

Its like editing 8.1 right after install to english then capturing it into a new .wim and then replacing the one on the 8.1 RTM with the one you made.

Not worth the work if you ask me whatever you do you are going to be using files from a beta/preview/leaked none RTM or the old 8.0. The 8.1 ISO would not be 100% RTM just a mash of files.

 

All solutions so far tend to create Frankenbuilds, not a proper OS.

KEEP IN MIND: This are RTM Releases, so the forum rules apply to them. No modified ISOs allowed!

 

I will wait the day's not over still a chance of an en leak.
