Oh, was I supposed to be looking at RAM figures....got a bit distracted by Shakira LOL... ... so anyway how does it compare with previous versions? percentage gain etc..?
Nice to know, Dependency needed to integrated this leaked update. I have Test Update Fresh Install W81 Enterprise on VM, There are no Rollup needed for this update. en_windows_8_1_enterprise_x64_dvd_2971902.iso
Yes I know but just wanted to make a updated dvd, found out only the index 1 has to be updated for proper install.
I have Eset antivirus and when installing update 1 my system hang up all the time is really eset ????
Index one is the one used in upgrades. Index 2 is the boot index. I'll test it today in my integration testing and see if it's actually required.
Finally found some free time to play with these updates again. This time I've installed it on VM running Win 8.1 RTM (not leaked Update 1 as before) and this time there weren't any problems at all. lol First impressions are good. Everything runs smoothly and system is stable. Although I haven't noticed improvement in memory management few of you mentioned early in this thread. Well, maybe it's because I'm comparing VM with real hardware. Taskbar in MetroUI and ability to pin Metro Apps to desktop is quite useful, but right-click context menus in Metro look awful. I'm hoping that they willl fix it in final release. It looks like this update won't bring nothing groundbreaking, but few improvements there and there are always a good thing.
LOL.. No It's just a fancy Keyinfo ...I query pkeyconfig directly thus picked up the new editions ...
lol ... apps cannot be closed by clicking the red shutdown cross top right. Since new update drag down and wait/flip no more exists, apps only can be closed entirely by using altF4 or taskmanager. Guess there is a fix to be done
