    Sorry to hear that!:(
I've got no error by recompiling the bios.

I did a usual mod, not the LENOVO way.
Have you consulted your manual already?
    Is there a way?
Some laptops need to push a f-key while booting up with a crisis disc. Do you have one?

I want to repeat to all who have got a black screen by using one of my mods:
I'm always very sorry when I hear that someone has got a bricked laptop!:(

I mod all of them with my best knowledge and only provide links to mods which have given NO error.

But even, mainly at some Phoenix bioses, you will get a bricked board if you flash a recompiled bios without any modifying of code!
I can understand the feeling about to have a bricked laptop to be send to repair, because a replacement of the bios chip is not possible!

Even though I stated at my disclaimer not to be responsible for any damage I feel sorry......and it is said so easy, but true: this is all for educational purposes only......

No, it's a normal 12.1". Is there a wide screen for X61? There should only be a normal one. I saw in oemfans there is a 2.11 but not the latest one 2.13

    Hi Yen,
Thank you for your hard work, I'll test and report shortly. I am still installing windows XP.

    I have a few questions:
    1) After the SLIC is entered to BIOS, will it enable activation in any Vista version or just Ultimate?
    2) When lenovo comes with new BIOS version, will the SLIC table from your mod overwritten or it'll stays?
    3) Will this work in SP1 i.e. can be detected by M$ for crack?
    4) What is the difference between each SLIC table and cert? i.e. TP-7N, TP-7K, and so on.

    1) Yes any version, you just need the corresponding royalty keys therefore. (all 32 and 64 bit versions)

    2) The SLIC will not persist.
    3) No this kind of mod is the same as the official OEM'S are doing (dynamic), practically impossible to detect as mod.
    4) All lenovo certs are the same. At SLIC the first part (public key) is always the same, the only difference is the second part of SLIC (public marker).

Each OEM has got his own SLIC and corresponding cert. which are different.

    No problem!
Your mod was done by using my translated and improved instructions of 'the Lenovo Way'

So the entire 'way' is confirmed now to work definitely:)
    Thanks for trying it!

Has anyone modded a BIOS for a T23 notebook so Vista Ultimate will activate? Much appreciated!

Perhaps we need to get more samples of success. I found that other Chinese forums still stick with 2.11 instead of this 2.13. May be others who can write Chinese can ask others to test as well?

This will be useful for Yen to reliably confirm his method. I'm only one machine :)
